Developer Blizzard has announced that hero shooter Overwatch is to get cross-play support in the near future.
Keller also noted that cross-progression won’t be available when the feature goes live, but is “something that the Overwatch team is excited to work on in the future”. To celebrate, all players who login to Overwatch before the end of 2021 will get a free Golden Lootbox too.
No exact date was given for the launch of cross-play on Overwatch, but it’s expected on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC soon. For now, you can check out the developer update video for yourself below.
