After leaks of Overwatch coming to the Nintendo Switch, it was finally announced during yesterday’s Nintendo Direct. Overwatch Legendary Edition will be available for the Switch on October 15th allowing fans of the game the ability to take their Overwatch experience on the go. An announcement trailer was shown featuring a wide variety of heroes - new and old - as well as some new features that will be an interesting addition to the Overwatch experience.

It looks like Overwatch will make use of the Nintendo Switch’s motion controls. During the announcement trailer, the heroes Junkrat, Widowmaker, and Wrecking Ball were shown to be controlled using such controls. Junkrat’s “Riptire” ultimate can be controlled by tilting your Switch as you would with a game like Mario Kart. Widowmaker was able to track an opponent through her scope as the player also moves the Switch and Wrecking Ball was able to swing around the point in his ball form with the same type of motions.
