Developer Gamefreak has announced two upcoming paid expansion passes for Pokémon Sword & Shield, with “Isle of Armor” releasing in June, and “Crown Tundra” launching later in the Fall. Each place will offer new areas to explore, people to meet, and Pokémon to capture. The first expansion will see players take to the Isle of Armor, which looks to have a warm climate and offers beaches, bogs, forests, caves, and dunes to explore....

As part of its ongoing Celebrate Summer Sale, the Playstation Store discounting this year’s open world survivalist adventure Days Gone for $35.99, which is 40 percent off of its standard $59.99 price tag. The game became available for its sale price on August 6th, a week into the existing Summer Sale, and will remain discounted until August 20th, when the summertime promotion ends. Days Gone was released in April of 2019, and while it received a mixed-to-positive critical reception, it isn’t without its loyalists....

One of the most consistent PlayStation franchises is Ratchet & Clank, which has seen highly-rated new releases since its PS2 debut in 2002. Today PUBG: Battlegrounds has completed its free to play transition, and PUBG Studios has released a live-action trailer to celebrate. Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 Remake has now sold over 10m copies since its release in 2019. Capcom shared the news on Twitter with a parody image of an endgame ranking beside a typewriter - it received an SSS of course. Rez Infinite will release digitally alongside PlayStation VR on October 13, Enhance Games has announced. The game will be playable both with a PSVR headset and without, on a standard PS4. The game joins a growing list of PS VR launch titles, alongside Rebellion tank shooter Battlezone VR, Harmonix’s next game Harmonix Music VR, multiplayer shooter RIGS, plus PlayStation VR Worlds, Tumble VR and Until Dawn: Rush of Blood. A price for the game has yet to be confirmed....

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics has announced that Rise of the Tomb Raider will receive a visual enhancement update for the Xbox One X. The enhancements to the game were shown off in a swanky new trailer, which was peppered with a number of statements that detailed how much more of an ultimate experience this will be on the Xbox One X. Night School Studio’s social spook ‘em up Oxenfree has shipped over one million units and has been downloaded over three million times, as revealed by its co-director Sean Krankel (via IGN).
