Final Fantasy Type-0 HD heads to PC on August 18, and anybody who pre-orders it will receive an exclusive Final Fantasy loading screen for DOTA 2. That’s right, a loading screen. Late yesterday, 20th Century Studios debuted the first teaser trailer for its upcoming Predator prequel, Prey. Accompanying the new footage was also a concrete release date. Developer Other Ocean has announced that “social deception game” Project Winter will be heading to consoles, starting with Xbox at the end of this month. PlayStation 5 owners, it’s worth remembering you have until Tuesday 14th June to grab a free copy of Grand Theft Auto Online from the PlayStation Store. The remaster of both Grand Theft Auto 5 and Online was first announced back in 2020 during the reveal of the PlayStation 5. The remaster features an upgraded 4K gameplay at 60FPS, HDR lighting, ray-tracing and faster loading times. PUBG: Battlegrounds’ latest update, 19.2, is now live across all platforms bringing a new vehicle and weather system to Deston, an animation refresh and, ahem, the chance to “race to your next chicken dinner in style”. The new “special collaboration” with McLaren will run until 1st November for PC players and 9th for those PUBG-ing on console, and introduce a load of McLaren flavoured goodies, including a McLaren GT Standard - Onyx Black vehicle skin, costume, gear, emote, and “more via in-game McLaren Loot Caches”....

After several years in development, the team over at Iceflames has finally completed the core work on Pure Farming 2018. It was recently announced via Twitter that the game has now gone gold. This means that work has been completed to a point where the game is ready to be printed onto discs and shipped out to retail stores to go on sale. River City Girls 2 will finally be out tomorrow, but not for you if you’re living in the West. Developer WayForward announced via Twitter that the Japanese/Asian version of the game launches on December 1, with help from Arc System Works. However, the Western version still needs “a bit more time in the oven.” It’s been a tough wait for fans, who initially anticipated the game to launch during the summer of 2022....

Blizzard Entertainment announced a new experimental game mode titled Triple Damage for Overwatch, and it will try to reduce role queue times while implementing balance changes for the positions (via Windows Central). Triple Damage touches down on February 25. It will introduce a team of three Damage players, two Support players, and one Tank player, instead of the standard two Damage players, two Support players, and two Tank players. Principal game designer Michael Heiberg said that the standard role queue structure has “ended up with a lot more damage players in queue than tanks and supports,” forcing longer queue times....
