League of Legends developer Riot Games takes a jab at Blizzard Entertainment in a new livestream. Riot Games made the diss as it announced several major new games: a new card game Legends of Runeterra, a League of Legends fighting game, a hero shooter game, and more. While announcing the mobile version of Teamfight Tactics, the Riot employee joked that “it turns out, you guys do actually have phones.” For those out of the loop, it may seem like Riot is just making a joke about how most of its fans are hardcore PC gamers; however, this is also a jab at Blizzard for the Diablo Immortal announcement the company made last year....

Square Enix is targeting a 1080p/30fps resolution and frame rate for the upcoming PS4 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider, the publisher has confirmed, adding that “anything beyond that is a bonus”. In a statement provided to VideoGamer.com last night, Square Enix explained that it is “still optimizing the game, and our target is 1080p at a minimum of 30fps. Anything beyond that is a bonus.” It’s a curious statement, and one that possibly suggests the game could achieve a faster frame rate than the 30fps it’s targeting....

Rise of the Tomb Raider’s story will take players around 15-20 hours to finish, Crystal Dynamics has revealed, and between 30-40 hours to complete the game 100%. Atlus dropped a new trailer for Persona 5 Scramble, which reveals that new kid on the block Zenkichi Hasegawa will become a playable Phantom Thief (via Twinfinite). Hasegawa was first introduced in a trailer published in January. He’s a detective that begins an investigation of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts regarding their inexplicable actions in the Metaverse. In this new trailer, we see Hasegawa transform into his Persona, and meet up with the group in Leblanc....

PewDiePie, a day after promising a $50,000 donation to the Anti-Defamation League anti-hate and anti-bigotry organization, has rescinded his promise. After reaching 100,000,000 subscribers on YouTube, content creator PewDiePie announced plans to donate $50,000 to the ADL. This announcement was met with anger from a vocal portion of his fanbase. Today PewDiePie announced that he would no longer be donating to the ADL. In a video posted to his YouTube channel, PewDiePie explained that he had chosen the ADL as a recipient of the $50,000 donation....

Sony will hold a press conference at Paris Games Week on Tuesday, October 27, the night before the show opens its doors, it’s been revealed. French games site Jeux Video reports to have received an invite to the media briefing earlier today, with the conference set to begin at 6pm CET (5pm BST). Earlier this year, Sony teased that it would use Paris Games Week to share “some exciting announcements”. Other “major announcements” are also due to be revealed at PlayStation Experience this December....
