Pokemon GO’s latest Raid rotations and Lunar New Year event have brought some interesting new challenges to the battle raiding scene. Players are once again able to encounter Gyarados in level four raids, which means it’s time to power up a team of counters and start raiding for the powerful water-type. Gyarados is a very popular creature from Gen 1, so it’s no surprise that Pokemon GO fans get excited every time there’s an opportunity to catch the creature....
EX Raids may still be one of Pokemon GO’s most divisive features, but the invite-only events aren’t going away any time soon. The special raids offer the chance to catch extra rare Legendary Pokemon and the latest rotation will bring a new Pokedex entry to the game for many players who didn’t participate in the Colossal Discovery Special Research event. The Colossal Discovery Special Research offered players (who were willing to pay the event entry fee) an encounter with Regigigas if they managed to finish all of the tasks, but aside from that the Pokemon GO Legendary hasn’t been available in the game yet....

The source material for the Netflix-produced Polar is a noir-inspired web-comic written and illustrated by Victor Santos, which takes a minimalistic approach to the international hitman subgenre. It features a stylized, monochromatic aesthetic and no speech bubbles, making it intrinsically cinematic and emotive, but Jonas Åkerlund’s film adaptation takes a decidedly more smash-mouth approach. In the film you’ll see lots of color, hear lots of dialogue, and experience very little in the way of nuance....

Fox has released the first trailer for its return to the popular Prison Break series, which last aired in 2009. In October 2019, a PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds update added console cross-play to the highly-popular battle royale title. It’s just been announced that QuakeCon will still be an all-digital event in 2022. The reasoning behind this choice is that an event of this magnitude requires plenty of planning and decision-making that just isn’t currently possible with so much uncertainty in the air. This is exactly the same fate that befell last year’s QuakeCon, as it was also a fully-digital event due to uncertainties in the face of COVID-19 and all of the health and safety concerns that could have caused issues for planners and attendees....
Rainbow Six Siege has received its fair share of cheaters over the years, but I have never seen anything quite like this new strategy. Hackers have exploited the ban feed, which alerts players when someone has committed a bannable offence, to display images on other players’ screens. The images being displayed by hackers range from the light-hearted to very much not-safe-for-work. On the more hilarious side, a squawking chicken has been appearing in key moments for some players....
Operators in Rainbow Six: Siege usually have multiple ways of using their gadgets to help a team win, but this hasn’t been the case with the operator Tachanka, whose mounted turret is an underwhelming ability due to the nature of Siege. However, an exciting rework for Tachanka was finally confirmed at the Six Invitational Finals. Tachanka is currently in a bad spot in Rainbow Six: Siege, as his gadget forces him to immobilize himself....

Red Dead Redemption is filled with many notable and classic characters. Characters like Arthur Morgan, John Marston, and Dutch Van der Linde will forever remain video game icons, and even minor characters like Uncle and Sadie will surely be fondly remembered in time. But that is not the case with poor Jack Marston. Overwatch lead writer Michael Chu announces that he is leaving Blizzard Entertainment after spending 20 years at the company. Chu’s decision to leave the developer comes ahead of the release of Overwatch 2, which is set to have story missions and more player versus environment gameplay. On Twitter, Chu announced that after spending 20 years at Blizzard, he will be moving on to “new adventures.” Chu has written a longer letter about leaving Blizzard on his site, saying that when he started, his “only dream was to help make the games I had spent countless hours of my life playing....
