Persona 5 will release in the Americas on February 14, 2017 on both PS3 and PS4, Atlus has announced, five months after the game’s Japanese launch this September. We don’t yet know when it’s due to arrive in Europe, however, or who will be publishing it. Earlier this year it was revealed that NIS America (Persona’s European publisher) would no longer be releasing Atlus’ games in Europe. Americans will be able to pick up a special ‘Take Your Heart’ Premium Edition on PS4, though, featuring a 4″ plush of Morgana, school bag, hardcover art book and soundtrack CD....

The Phantom Thieves have defeated a myriad of villains, but starting December they’ll have a new enemy to conquer - stage fright! That’s right - Persona 5 is getting its own stage play, and photos have just been released featuring an exclusive first look at the cast in costume. Persona 5 the Stage - the official name of the play adaptation of Atlus’ popular RPG - will open in Japan this winter....

PES 2016 Data Pack 2 will release December 3, Konami has confirmed today. The new pack promises to resolve the missing player transfers from the previous update, plus introduce a host of other improvements. Data Pack 2 Contents New International Kits: Kits for Germany, Italy and Spain. Team and Player ID Updates: 51 new likenesses to the player rosters, including Fernando Torres, Kevin de Bruyne, Julian Draxler, Jamie Vardy and Aleksander Mitrovic....

Pink Floyd fans attending the Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets concert at New York City’s Beacon Theater got an unexpected surprise on Thursday night, when another founding member of the legendary psychedelic rock band appeared on stage: Roger Waters. Waters, who was Pink Floyd’s bassist, vocalist, and one of the band’s chief songwriters during its first 20 years, rarely makes guest appearances at other Floyd side projects, but joined Mason’s new band to provide vocals (and gong) on “Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun” from 1968....

PlatinumGames CEO Atsushi Inaba has said the studio is changing its approach to developing games. Inaba, who co-founded the development studio, was interviewed by Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu (translated by VGC) about his aspirations for the company’s future. While the developer will continue with the kinds of single-player action games it is known for, Platinum will also look to create titles that “can be enjoyed and loved for a longer period of time”, perhaps including the long-in-development Project G....

There’s a closed beta for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint this weekend, and playing it will help a great cause. Aside from testing the server and helping Ubisoft improve the game, this beta will also help children. The more players revive one another when downed, the more money Ubisoft will donate to a children’s charity. This was one of several Ubisoft announcements this week. While we knew about the Ghost Recon Breakpoint beta for some time, we just learned that those with a UPLAY+ subscription will get automatic access to it and other Ubisoft betas....

Acclaimed indie hit Inside, from Limbo creators Playdead, will release for PS4 on August 23, the studio has announced. The game launched first for Xbox One on June 29, and around a week later on Steam. The PS4 release date follows the appearance of PS4 trophies for the game. UPDATE: Nintendo of Canada reports that Pokémon Sword and Shield had the highest-grossing launch of any Pokémon game in Canada. Pokémon Sword & Shield have had the best opening week of any Nintendo Switch games to date with over six million copies sold since November 15. The Tokyo Game Show has just started and Capcom was on stage to unveil the latest title in the Resident Evil series. Called Project Resistance, the game will be a multiplayer asymmetrical shooter that bears some striking similarities to Turtle Rock Studios’ EVOLVE. Check out the trailer. Tim Schafer’s brain-hopping PS2 platformer Psychonauts is now available to download on PS4 in North America, with a European release following in a few weeks’ time. The PS4 version features widescreen support along with some other “up-rezzing stuff”, but “is otherwise the PS2 version”, developer Double Fine said on Twitter. It’s available as a download for $9.99. Europeans will have to wait two to three weeks for it to appear on their PlayStation Store, though, because the developer is still waiting on a PEGI rating, which is required to release the game in Europe....

Bethesda kicked off its E3 press conference with an absolutely mental intro by Andrew W.K. performing his Rage 2 song. Despite Andrew’s obvious enthusiasm (check out that keyboard-playing-while-furiously-head-banging combo going on), the crowd looked either really pissed off or just downright confused. Still, we did get treated to some adrenaline-pumping Rage 2 footage, which looked about as mad as you would expect from a Rage game. We’re promised a seamless open-world to explore, as well as a heap of barmy weapons to get to grips with....

It’s not long now until Bethesda’s shooter RAGE 2 lands on PCs everywhere and there are now official system requirements. RAGE 2 releases on 14 May and these system requirements cover the minimum and recommended specs. What you need to have inside your rig to have everything ramped up to max is not clear but the recommended specs should be enough to play without cranking up the resolution to 2K+. Anything above the recommended 1070 may help in squeezing a little more out the game....
