Rockstar has released the first trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2, and it could be one of the nicest looking games you’ve ever laid eyes on. The 1:08 trailer offers the first glimpse at the old west setting, as well as some of the local wildlife you’ll be skinning. Be careful of those vultures. Red Dead Redemption 2 launches on PS4 and Xbox One in autumn 2017. A PC release has not been confirmed....
Once again, the Refer a Friend program/event has returned to Fortnite. This program aims to connect you with those friends who don’t play all that much Fortnite and pair you up for prizes. For those worried, the Refer a Friend event definitely isn’t going to expire any time soon, as players have until Jan. 10, 2023 to register and Feb. 19 to complete everything. Unlike some challenge events, you need to actually sign in on the Refer a Friend site as it isn’t tracked in-game....
Early this month, it was reported that Japanese members of the Resident Evil Ambassador program were invited to test a new game. The official Capcom sanctioned group of insiders is a fan club that gets special access to new games and events. Last week, American Ambassador members were invited to test a new Resident Evil game in Los Angeles and New York City later this year. Twitch affiliate and streamer Patrick Copeland tweeted an image of the invitation sent to Ambassadors to test what is presumably a new Resident Evil game currently in development....
Techland’s brilliant zombie apocalypse-’em-up Dying Light is a ripe breeding ground for user-created mods, and this latest effort plucks inspiration from one of the most celebrated horror games of all time: Resident Evil 2. ‘Calamar’ is currently a work-in-progress but offers an unmistakable recreation of Resi 2’s Raccoon Police Department and surrounding undead-infested streets, including the basketball court and overturned semi-truck. Those of you who own the PC version of Dying Light can download the mod here and launch it by selecting Custom Maps....

Back in October 2018, Rimworld officially released its 1.0 version. Given the lack of updates since, it would have been fair to assume developer Ludeon Studios had finished with the project. But apparently that is not the case. Out of nowhere, update 1.1 has been announced and it’s looking to be a huge expansion. Technically, Rimworld 1.1 is already playable but not on live servers. Instead, any players interested need to load up the unstable branch....

PaRappa The Rapper debuted ten years ago on the PlayStation and went on to achieve a strong cult following. Sony has today announced the July release of PaRappa The Rapper for PSP. PaRappa is returning and is bringing all the characters, levels and songs from the original, plus a host of additional content to the PSP. New features include four-player head-to-head over local wireless, and the ability to download eight additional playable remixes using the PSP Infrastructure Mode....

I wasn’t overly enthused about Persona 5 when it first released on the PS4 back in 2017. 2019’s Persona 5 Royal was a step up from the original and I called it the game that Persona 5 should’ve been in the first place, but still felt it suffered from pacing issues. Now that Royal is getting re-released on the Switch, this is officially my third go with this game, and everything is finally falling into place....

Up until now, parachuting has been the only way to fly in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. At least, it was if you don’t count the air you can get off of hills with the motorcycle. That’s now changed, as PUBG Corp. is introducing a brand new vehicle that gives players wings. Introducing the Motor Glider, a new flying vehicle coming to PUBG. For now, the Motor Glider is only available on the PUBG Labs server, but depending on the reception it may become a more permanent addition....
Sony’s latest financial report has revealed that the PlayStation 4 is now the second best-selling home console of all time, sitting ahead of the Nintendo Wii and just behind the PlayStation 2. The list of best-selling video game consoles is dominated by both Nintendo and Sony with the top ten containing five PlayStation systems, four Nintendo systems, and the Xbox 360. The PlayStation 2 is currently the best-selling video game console of all time with 155 million units sold, a record that may never be beaten....
It’s been reported over the weekend that PlayStation’s Jim Ryan flew to Brussels last month to voice his concerns over Microsoft’s proposed $68.7 billion USD purchase of publishing giant Activision Blizzard. According to reports behind paywalls on SeekingAlpha & Dealreporter (as reported by Video Games Chronicle) – Ryan is said to have personally visited the EU HQ on September 8, with Call of Duty once again a big factor in the talks....

To get Latios Mega Energy and get a Mega Latios, you must take part in Mega Raids to defeat the Gen 3 variant to add it to your Pokédex. This is a tough Pokémon to take on solo, so we recommend teaming up with other trainers and knowing the best Mega Latios counters, and the Mega Latios weakness to cath the Pokémon, and maybe even get a Shiny Latios if you’re lucky....
Mega Salamence is the mega evolved form of Salamence, the pseudo-Legendary Dragon-type Pokémon, which makes its Pokémon Go debut as part of the Twinkling Fantasy event in Pokémon Go particularly exciting. Like all Mega Evolutions, Mega Salamence can’t be directly caught in Pokémon Go. Instead, you need to keep defeating it in Mega Raids until you’ve collected enough Mega Salamence Energy for its evolution. Since E3, Valve has been consistently releasing more information about its GLaDOS-dominated puzzler, including gameplay videos and the release date. The trailers for Portal 2 have shown a stimulating single-player experience, but what about the multiplayer? Valve has previously discussed how multiplayer co-op would work in Portal 2, but had not shown any gameplay footage. At least, not until now. It’s great to see ambitious indie games with a small development team, as it really shows just what they can do. And Unsouled looks like it’ll suit action fans well when it arrives next year. The game is the work of a single man, Jinsub Jung, who’s working alongside PQube to publish it. It combines a deep story with combat that has a stylish flair to it. Taking place in a pixel-inspired world where everything is destructible, the game’s first trailer sets the tone rather properly....
