The trend of the Pikachu Jets dedicated to the Pokemon franchise is seeing a resurgence in Asia, and today a new one has been announced. The new Airliner was revealed by The Pokemon Company in partnership with Taiwan’s state-owned flag carrier China Airlines. It’s called Pikachu Jet CI (“CI” is China Airlines’ IATA code) and it’s ai Airbus A321 with the registration code B18101. Interestingly, this is a brand new airframe (it was delivered in November 2021) that has been flying from Taipei to various destinations in Asia like Hong Kong, Manila, Phnom Penh, and Yangon....

PlayStation Plus subscribers and PC gamers will be able to access a free trial of Predator: Hunting Grounds starting this weekend. The PS4 version of the beta will require an active PlayStation Plus account to access. Those on PC will be able to access the beta by heading over to the Epic Store (where the PC version of Predator: Hunting Grounds will be exclusively available for the time being) and downloading the available trial....

Starcraft 2 fans disappointed that they will not get a chance to play as the Protoss or Zerg in the campaign of the upcoming Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty now have half of their problem solved. According to a post from Xordiah, a member of Blizzard’s RTS Community Team in Blizzard Europe, there will be missions in the Terran campaign where players will take control of Protoss forces. “I won’t go into details, since we don’t give out information on the campaign of StarCraft 2, but I can confirm that there will be a Protoss mini-campaign that lets you control Protoss units....

UPDATE: Innelec has issued a statement denying that it knows anything about the launch of PlayStation Neo. In the statement, posted on afjv.com and translated by Google, Innelec says: “Innelec denies any official information about the launch of a PS4K Neo. It is possible that during the 2016/2017 fiscal developments exist on the current PS4 [but] for the moment we have no information about the nature of them.” ORIGINAL STORY: Sony’s upgraded PS4 console, reportedly codenamed Neo, will release before October, according to French video games distributor Innelec Multimedia....

PS4 System Software Update 4.07 is out now, and in a shock turn of events doesn’t offer improved stability. Patch notes reveal the update “improves the quality of the system performance”. What’s with the sudden change by Sony, abandoning stability in favour of quality? Will it be quality improvements from here on out, or will we see the next system update bring back stability? 4.07 is 312MB. Source: Sony

Bluehole has announced the release of update 11 for the Xbox One version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. This latest patch for the every-man-for-himself shooter is targeted squarely at improvements to game stability and optimisation, including graphical and frame rate performance buffs. Some minor bug squashing has also been included in update 11, such as ironing out an issue where ghostly footsteps were heard when no other player was around, as well as one error that displayed the blue zone incorrectly....

Rambo: The Video Game is to receive a major new DLC pack tomorrow, April 19 – more than two years after the game first launched. The free ‘Baker Team’ pack introduces three brand new missions set during the Vietnam War that sends Rambo “on a covert mission deep into Viet Cong territory”, plus a brand new difficulty setting called John Rambo. 5 new weapons are thrown in too, including the MP44, SPAS12, XM79, PPSH41 and CAR15, along with 5 new perks, 8 new trophies/achivements, and the ability to unlock all skill points to rank Rambo up to level 25....

Most Pokémon in the Pokémon world can be found or caught by looking in certain locations. However, not all Pokémon still thrive in present day. Since the first generation, there have been extinct Pokémon whose existence was only confirmed by the appearance of fossils. Those fossils can be taken to Pokémon researchers who revive them to their prehistoric forms. There have been many fossil Pokémon introduced in the franchise that cover various regions....

The popular mobile series Reigns will soon be coming to table tops in the form of a party game called Reigns: The Council. The game is a collaboration between Nerial and two prolific board game designers: Bruno Faidutti and Hervé Marly. The Council is described as an asymmetric party game for 3-6 players where one person plays as a monarch seeking harmony and balance while the others plays as advisers seeking to influence the ruler’s decisions for their own agenda....

In anticipation of God of War Ragnarök’s release, a new promo starring Rick and Morty has been revealed. American adult-oriented nighttime cable television channel Adult Swim shared the new ad on its Rick and Morty social feeds. The clip shows eccentric scientist Rick shaving his head and branding himself with Kratos’ iconic red facial tattoo. He then proceeds to hand his grandson Morty a toy bow and arrow, before shoving him through a portal to the Nine Realms....

Risk of Rain 2‘s Anniversary Update has a lot in store for long-time fans and newcomers. We’ve seen the addition of the Bandit survivor as well as changes to the final level and Mithrix boss fight. We’ve even seen a couple of Heresy items that have been added (i.e., Hooks of Heresy and Essence of Heresy). But, there’s one tidbit related to these items which wasn’t even mentioned in the patch notes....

In yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, it was announced that Overwatch is coming to Nintendo Switch on October 15. Now, it has been officially confirmed that Blizzard’s toony shooter will arrive on Nintendo Switch next month. How the game will work on the portable console is still a bit of a mystery; for example, whether Blizzard will balance the Switch version in the same way as the PS4 and Xbox One. But Overwatch will take unique advantage of the Switch’s motion sensors, and abilities including Junkrat’s Rip-Tire and Hammond’s roll will be controlled by leaning and swivelling the console....

Welcome to the results of the PC Invasion Readers’ PC Game Awards 2017. Unlike The Game Awards I’m afraid we can’t promise to be gate-crashed by an ‘exuberant’ Josef Fares. Yes, Age of Empires: Definitive Edition appeared in error on the ‘Best Remaster’ list, despite not actually being out yet....

A pet shop employee is fired after being caught mistreating a dog in a Twitch live stream. On November 13, Twitch streamer RIPRoyce visited the Bark n’ Bitches Dog Boutique in Los Angeles, CA. where she caught an upsetting incident on stream. After one dog bit another dog, an employee at the store picked up the dog and threw it down onto the floor. A Twitch clip from the stream caught the sound that the dog made when it hit the concrete floor, but viewers cannot see it land....
