Nintendo has declared a strong start to Pokémon Legends: Arceus, with the game nabbing over 6.5 million sales in its first week. The company thanked fans for their support of the latest Pokémon title via their Twitter account. As analyst Daniel Ahmad noted on Twitter, this makes it the fastest selling Pokémon game so far on the Switch. PUBG Corp. has rolled out a fresh update for chicken dinner-giving shooter PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on PC, adding a new progression system called Weapon Mastery. In a nutshell, it allows you to level up your firearms by pouring XP into them. Each weapon in the game can be levelled up to rank 100, with XP rewarded for inflicting damage, scoring headshots, and dispatching enemies. In addition, you’ll net bonus XP for scoring a Defeat, which is given out for ‘knockdowns, killing the last member of a team, and killing solo players....
Injustice 2 has dropped a new trailer for Raiden. He’s part of the Fighter Pack 2 DLC, which also includes Black Manta and Hellboy. Raiden is a mainstay of the Mortal Kombat series, and describes himself as ‘the true god of thunder’ in his pre-fight sassing in this gameplay trailer. There’s a lot of lightning on display here, and it looks like you can use Raiden to set up a lot of devastating combos (which isn’t so great to play against, mind you)....

Today, Sad Cat Studios has announced that their upcoming 2.5D action platformer, REPLACED, has been delayed until 2023. More than 150 employees of developer Riot Games took part in a walkout yesterday, protesting the company’s recent forced arbtration policies after a turbulent period of lawsuits and reports coming out of the LA-based developer of PC game League of Legends. The walkout came about after Riot filed motions last month to prevent two gender discrimination cases – following on from last year’s gender discrimnation lawsuits that hit the company on the heels of an investigation into purported long term sexist culture at the company from Kotaku – stating that the plantiffs had signed forced arbitration agreements that would prevent them from proceeding with the lawsuits....

As the videogame industry continues to get less innovative, another game that showed potential is to be closed down. Motiga struggled during development with Gigantic and the studio was closed down by Perfect World. However, the game was still operational but now Perfect World have decided it’s just not operating any longer. Ther statement from Motiga is starting to look all too familiar. We have already seen Epic pull the plug on Paragon last week and now another game that was offering a twist on the MOBA genre is axed....
Morgana was a magical character (see what we did there?) to say the least, and as such, he possessed personas from the Magician arcana. These magic-based personas are strong, but are the most useful against enemies who are weak to their attacks. They also possess unique debuff abilities which make for some solid defensive options. This arcana also presents some of the most unique in the game, with personas taking various forms and coming with entertaining backstories....
