The Pokemon GO Plus accessory will now launch in September, not at the end of July as was originally planned, Nintendo has announced. Both Nintendo UK and US announced the delay this morning. “The #PokemonGO Plus accessory will arrive in Sept. instead of the originally expected end of July. Thanks for your patience, Trainers!” reads the tweet from Nintendo UK. Pokemon GO Plus is a small device designed to be worn which allows players to continue playing Pokemon GO without looking at their phone....

Portal 2’s director Josh Weier has spoken more about the game’s cut content and given background information on why features were cut or how they came to be. The team that worked on Valve’s first-person puzzle adventure masterpiece have openly talked about cut content in the past. At the Games Developer Conference in 2012, writers Erik Wolpaw and Chet Faliszek talked about features that were cut such as Garfield references, multiple endings, and Wheatley’s early demise....

Resident Evil Umbrella Corps will feature maps based on the franchise’s iconic Raccoon City and Police Station locations, Capcom has announced. The Raccoon City map features wide open city streets and a maze-like sewer system, offering contrasting play areas. The Police Station map is filled with barricades throughout the halls, but a general lack of hiding places means you’ll inevitably end up in many close quarter encounters. The maps are available in multiplayer modes as well as The Experiment single player mode....

Rainbow Six Siege brand director Alexandre Remy has revealed that the tactical shooter won’t come to Nintendo Switch due to various technical limitations. Speaking during an interview with Metro GameCentral, Remy noted that some of the game’s key elements, including a stable 60fps and environmental destruction, would be problematic on Ninty’s hybrid platform. ‘[It’s] not possible with the technical constraint and especially the frame rate of the game; 60 frames per second plus destruction is a bit CPU heavy and Switch is not yet the Nintendo console where it’ll be....

Rare Replay will cost £20 in the UK, Rare has confirmed, having previously announced a $30 price tag for the US market. Speaking during YouTube’s live E3 coverage, Rare confirmed the game’s UK pricing, as well as noting that all games up until 360-era titles will include a rewind function. With games such as Battletoads becoming notorious for their incredible difficulty, the news of a rewind button will no doubt be welcome....

Ubisoft’s Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition demo is now available to download the Nintendo Switch eShop, after it was originally pulled for going up too early. The Rayman Legends demo is on the eShop in Europe and Australia, with it becoming available for download tomorrow on the North American eShop tomorrow. Rayman Legends on Switch is a port of the well regarded game, and will have all the delights and features that the base game had on other consoles back in 2013, as well as solo and tournament modes for the excellent Kung Foot mini game....

Resident Evil 2’s mod craze shows no signs of slowing down this week, with this latest effort perhaps the most bizarre yet. No, it’s not a Chief Irons Swimsuit Edition, but rather a mod that turns Mr. X into Thomas the Tank Engine. Toot toot! You can get the mod here (via Eurogamer) although note that sound effects aren’t provided for Thomas. He still sounds like Mr. X, so keep that in mind....

The 2020 remake of Resident Evil 3 could be heading to the Nintendo Switch in the near future, after references to a Cloud Version have been unearthed online. As reported by Video Games Chronicle, members of the Resetera forum found multiple references including artwork to a Cloud Version of Resident Evil 3 on the website that’s being used to stream Control: Ultimate Edition’s Cloud Version to the Switch following its surprise announcement and release yesterday....

A new game called Spin Rhythm XD wants to revitalize the rhythm game genre simply by doing everything right. The control scheme includes several maneuvers that replicate DJ actions that ramp up in complexity. It seems to be working, as the trailer includes several comments that liken the gameplay to actually playing music. Visually, the game ditches the whole “create your custom band” idea in favor of taking players on a musical space odyssey....

Risk of Rain 2’s Survivors of the Void paid expansion finally has a launch date, and will be heading to PC on 1st March, with a console release to follow. And to celebrate the news, developer Hopoo Games has offered a closer look at the Railgunner - one of two new Survivors joining its enormously successful co-op rogue-like shooter sequel as part of the expansion. Survivors of the Void brings a significant heft of new content to Risk of Rain 2 - ranging from new bosses and enemies to new items and stages - but the unifying theme (as its name does rather suggest) is The Void....

The Steam page for the Panzer Dragoon: Remake went live earlier today following an announcement from the game’s official Twitter account. Prior to today’s sudden announcement, fans were under the assumption that these remakes would be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. Sega and Forever Entertainment revealed plans to resurrect the cult classic and its sequel, Panzer Dragoon 2 Zwei, last December. Nintendo would later spotlight the remake at their E3 2019 Direct, unveiling a brand-new trailer....

PewDiePie is asking for the end of the “subscribe to PewDiePie” meme. Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg, the Swedish YouTuber and vlogger, remains to the most subscribed person or entity on YouTube. His particular brand of brash, opinionated, and often controversial entertainment has struck a chord with denizens of the internet across the political spectrum, and while that has made PewDiePie one of the richest people on the video streaming site, it’s also given him notoriety he never asked for....
