It’s a playground for techies, and many simply look forward to seeing what companies cook up. Razer is one such player that always enjoys showing off a cool new concept (or a few), as many surely recall the outlandish Project Hazel RGB masks that appeared last year. This year is a little more tame with Project Sophia, Razer’s futuristic gaming desk concept that can seemingly do it all....

Rockstar Games has confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be fully playable from a first-person perspective. The upcoming Wild West-flavoured prequel will apparently be taking a leaf out of Grand Theft Auto 5’s book, which received a first-person view for its PlayStation 4 and Xbox One remaster back in 2014. First-person mode is one of three viewpoints playable in the sprawling cowboy-’em-up, the others being the standard third-person perspective and a cinematic camera, according to Polygon....

Developer Ys Net has confirmed that Ryo will be able to drive forklifts in the upcoming Shenmue III. Fallout Shelter has been updated to Version 1.3, introducing pets as an all-new feature, Bethesda has announced. The update notes state: “Vault-Tec research has shown that four legged companions can have a profound impact on Vault happiness and productivity.” Players will be able to introduce a range of dogs and cats to the vault. Other changes brought by 1.3 include: Vault-Tec has received reports of some Dwellers not pulling their weight....

Publisher Versus Evil has abandoned plans to bring 2018 Obsidian RPG Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire to the Nintendo Switch. The news came in an update posted to the publisher’s Discord server and reposted on Reddit (spotted by Nintendo Life). An employee responded to a query with the following; “Hey there! Unfortunately, after much deliberation, we have decided not to move forward with Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire for the Nintendo Switch....

It’s nothing new to say that a lot goes into designing a game. There are so many interlacing pieces that rely on each other for the game to work properly. If one thing stops working, a lot else will stop working along with it. Unfortunately, Pathea Games revealed that their server had some sort of issue, resulting in the loss of all of Planet Explorers‘ game code. The developer has been hard at work over the past month trying to salvage the files but they have been unable to do so....

The PlayStation Store is having a big sale starting February 21st called Big in Japan, which will feature a whopping 500 items discounted up to 70%. Running until March 6th, owners of PlayStation 3, 4, and Vita are bound to find something to suit their tastes in the US version of the sale.
