The Rainbow Six Siege saga continues as Ubisoft introduces yet another operator and a new season of content called Operation Neon Dawn to the game. The teaser today introduced another defender, known as Aruni. We also got a peak at her gadget in action, and let’s just say it’s reminiscent of the futuristic Mute Protocol event. Red Dead Redemption 2 released on PC last week, and like any major PC release, mods started rolling out like crazy. Some users, however, have been using the mods in Red Dead Online, resulting in bans. Although Rockstar has embraced single-player mods, they’ve condemned multiplayer ones. Even prior to release, Rockstar stated that Social Club accounts could be banned or suspended for using mods that violate the EULA or terms of service....

2017 brought the remaster of 90’s icon, Crash Bandicoot, in the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy; a successful blueprint that was mimicked (also successfully) in last year’s Spyro Reignited Trilogy. But if numbers behind the demo for the new Resident Evil 2 remake are any indication, the first remake of 2019 might blow the other remastered 90’s titles out of the water. According to gaming statistics and analytics site, GitHyp, Resident Evil 2’s demo peaked at 11k players on Steam this past weekend, which is nearly triple the amount of Resident Evil 7’s highest hourly player count of roughly 4k players, when the “Beginning Hour” demo was released in 2016....

Today WayForward released a brand-new gameplay trailer of its upcoming beat ’em up River City Girls 2. We get to take a look at another of the new playable characters that were introduced back in September. The new girl is Provie, a breakdancer looking for her best friend Kris who may have been kidnapped by the bad guys. Her backstory may not be as interesting as the previously-revealed Marian, who used to be the damsel in distress of the Final Fight series and ended up deciding that she’s better off saving herself, got jacked, and beats up the Yakuza on her own, but she certainly has an intriguing fighting style based on breakdance movies....

Epic Games does not shy away from releasing crossovers into Fortnite. In the past, crossovers have featured in the battle pass and as purchasable items in the in-game store. Most recently, the collection of Marvel crossovers was increased with the addition of Scarlet Witch. Also, there were two weeks of Star Wars celebrations to kick off May the 4th. Now, another crossover is getting ready to launch into Fortnite, as Pac-Man is joining the action to celebrate the yellow fellow’s anniversary....

Last month, Den Of Geek flew over to Dublin to try out Paranoia: Happiness Is Mandatory, an upcoming RPG for PC, Xbox One and PS4 that takes its inspiration from a tabletop game from 1984 called Paranoia. The project has been developed in the Irish capital from the snazzy offices of Cyanide and Black Shamrock, with Bigben Interactive due to publish the title in October. Sitting around a boardroom table with various executives and developers, some of whom even worked on the classic tabletop game, it’s obvious that there is no shortage of passion here....

A prequel to a movie only a few months old, Pearl proves itself as a visually stunning and horrifying violent backstory to the character first introduced in X. The new movie stars Mia Goth as the titular character who is bored of her life helping her mother take care of her father; instead wanting to make it in the movies and become “somebody.” Pearl showcases the farmhouse that would become the setting of X, with the movie set in the year 1918 during World War I and the Spanish Flu outbreak, furthering the struggles of the title character....

There are several Persona 5 Royal endings throughout this story. Some are good, many bad, but only one is true. All are possible depending on choices and competency across the game’s Palaces. Thankfully, the bad endings are easy to avoid if you know what you’re doing. The original Persona 5 had multiple endings, and it’s worth mentioning that in Persona 5 Royal, you can still obtain these. Atlus has announced that role playing game Persona 5 has sold over two million copies worldwide on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. ‘This has been an incredible year for our company, one that represents our ambitions for Japanese games in the west,’ CEO Naoto Hiraoka said when discussing the sales figures. ‘We are in the middle of experiencing tremendous growth, both in the west and abroad, and the sales of Persona 5 represent a new level of expectation for fans of the genre....

PlayStation is celebrating the fifth anniversary of the launch of PSVR by offering PlayStation Plus subscribers three free VR games from November. The headset first launched for the PlayStation 4 back in 2016, and in that time has proven very successful. The blog post trumpeting the milestone revealed the most played games globally by hours played. At the top was free-to-play multiplayer sandbox Rec Room. A close second was music game Beat Saber....

PlayStation Plus Premium has finally completed its planned worldwide rollout, and arrived in the UK and mainland Europe today. However, many of its Classic Catalogue PlayStation 1 games are available only in their PAL 50Hz versions - a slower standard superceded by the NTSC 60Hz option available elsewhere. This morning, Sony said it will provide “NTSC options for a majority” of these games in the future - though not detailed when or for which games....

Sony has confirmed the release dates of its PlayStation Stars loyalty programme across the world. The programme launches today in Asia, before being rolled out to the Americas on 5th October and in Europe on 13th October. We got a sneak peak of how the programme works earlier this month in the State of Play, and Sony has given us additional details today. Players can earn rewards by completing a variety of campaigns and activities....
