Capcom has released a pretty cool video giving fans a chance to see the original Resident Evil 0 prototype from 1998 – shown once at the Tokyo Game Show. Until now all that’s been available of the game is some ropey fuzzy video. In the new video you get to see how the visuals progressed to the eventual release on GameCube in 2002, and then onto the 2016 HD Remaster....
We’re only hours away from the big Capcom showcase, which is set to reveal more about Resident Evil Village. What exactly the livestream will contain remains to be seen, but there’s a few hints out there on what might be revealed. Riot Games, developer of League of Legends, has filed a lawsuit against the recently formed esport organization Riot Squad. The lawsuit alleges that Riot Squad is knowingly infringing on Riot Game’s trademark by encouraging people to think the two organizations are somehow connected. According to the lawsuit, Riot Games has trademarked the terms “Riot” and “Riot Games” when used in connection to videogames and esports. Notably, Riot Squad jerseys prominently feature the word “Riot,” as does some of their marketing material....

Stellaris: Galaxy Command has been taken offline by Paradox Interactive, as players spotted stolen Halo 4 artwork in the mobile game (via Polygon). The Piranha Plant was the first DLC character announced for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is at it again. On Saturday it managed to set the record for the most ever concurrent players on Steam. PUBG’s peak of over 1.34 million players means it’s unseated Dota 2, which previously held the top spot with 1.29 million.
