Rumours are abound that Capcom may be gearing up to release a new entry in spin-off series Resident Evil Revelations with a third entry potentially carrying the name Resident Evil Outrage for release exclusively on Nintendo Switch later this year. The rumours come from noted Capcom insider Dusk Golem, who claimed via Twitter (as spotted by MyNintendoNews) that the as-yet-unannounced title would be following within a year of Resident Evil Village in either late 2021 or early 2022 (the tweet actually reads late 2020 or early 2021, but we’re assuming a typo given it was written this past weekend)....

It’s been almost four years since Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment surprised launched Apex Legends: the battle royale title infused with the former series’ DNA. Players have come in droves and have, for the most part, had positive things to say about the game since its launch, with numerous crossovers and events to keep engagement semi-high. However, fan enjoyment has steadily decreased as numerous issues plague the game, such as audio and the growing concern over matchmaking disparity across all of Apex Legends’ game modes....

Riot Games has filed a lawsuit against Vietnamese developer Imba Network for creating a “knock-off” of its League of Legends spin-off Teamfight Tactics. The studio has accused Imba Network of stealing likenesses, stories, and lore for its game I Am Hero: AFK Tactical Teamfight, Reuters reported. Riot is seeking $150,000 for each instance of copyright infringement and has requested the California court restrict Imba Network from selling its game. The Vietnamese developer has denied copying Riot’s game, yet in the lawsuit Riot published clear comparisons between the two titles....

Update: Blizzard has announced a May 24 release date for Overwatch and also confirmed details of early access. “Following the head-start period on May 3-4 for those who have pre-ordered, gamers everywhere will be able to assemble a team of friends and check out the game free during the all-access period from May 5-9,” reads the release from Blizzard this afternoon. In addition, the May-3 early access is only available to UK gamers who pre-order from GAME....

Paradox Interactive, the developer behind Crusader Kings, Hearts of Iron and Europa Universalis, has released the external report it commissioned into its own working practices following the results of a damning staff survey last year published in Swedish daily newspaper Svenska Dagbladet and on Eurogamer, where staff shared their experiences. The report was compiled by Gender Balance, a Swedish firm which specialises in discrimination, harassment and equality issues, as recommended by Paradox staff unions....

Sony’s revamped PlayStation Plus subscription has now begun rolling out worldwide, and is available first in Asia from today. The Galar region will be using a different format for its Pokémon League than the other regions in the Pokémon series, so Pokémon Sword & Shield will not feature an Elite Four. The Pokémon Company has announced it’s teaming up with rapper Post Malone for a virtual concert to be held on February 27 to mark Pokémon Day. The news was revealed by Billboard, who also revealed that the concert, which will be broadcast on the official Pokémon YouTube and Twitch channels and website, will make up part of the company’s ongoing 25th Anniversary celebrations marking a quarter of a century since the first game in the series was released....

A new Gigantamax Pokemon has been discovered in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. Toxtricity, the Punk Pokemon added in Pokemon Sword and Shield, is receiving a gigantic evolution for players to pursue and catch. Game Freak is bringing Gigantamax Toxtricity to Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Max Raid Battles starting tomorrow, February 6. Players will have to act fast, however, as Gigantamax Toxtricity will only be available for a limited time....

Ubisoft, while they may be growing bored of the current generation of consoles, are certainly leading the charge in providing games for all of the latest tech, whether that be Nintendo’s 3DS or Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Kinect motion control device. In keeping with that notion, Ubisoft has just unveiled their latest offering, titled PowerUp Heroes. Not a very exiting game title, but certainly an exciting concept. PowerUp Heroes may be the Kinect game many purchasers have been waiting for, especially with the superhero craze taking over the summer movie season....

Project Scorpio will be 4.5x more powerful than the original Xbox One, head of Xbox Phil Spencer has confirmed. Spencer revealed the number in a discussion with Giant Bomb (below), stating that the “Scorpio is more powerful than the original Xbox [One], four-and-a-half times.” While the console’s full specs have yet to be confirmed by Microsoft, the console will include 6 teraflops of GPU power and be a “true 4K” console capable of delivering “high-fidelity VR”....

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile update 0.5.0 is now out in the wild, bringing with it the battle royale title’s desert-themed Miramar map. This latest patch kicks off PUBG Mobile’s second season of content, presumably ushering in new cosmetic items and a stat reset. One thing to look out for are Progress Missions, which are weekly tasks that unlock rewards. Interestingly, the mobile version of PUBG has nabbed the Miramar map before the Xbox One version of the every-man-for-himself-shooter, while PC users have been duking it out on the map for a while now....
