During Nintendo’s Direct Mini, Pac-Man made a surprise appearance with the announcement that Pac-Man World will be getting a full remake. One of the benefits that modern gaming has brought is the use of cross-platform play. Cross-play allows players from both console and PC to team up with (or against) their friends in the same game with little hassle (usually). Modern Warfare 2 is just one of the titles that has implemented the feature for its latest release. However, it seems that Xbox and PC Modern Warfare 2 players cannot easily toggle cross-play, leading to frustrations on both ends....

Persona 5 Royal does not feature the insulting portrayal of two gay characters as sexually aggressive toward one of the Phantom Thieves in its western localisation (via IGN). With the revamped release of Persona 5, the developer added and adjusted a number of aspects of the original game. There is a new Phantom Thief, a new Palace, new Personas, new narrative features, an extra semester, and more, but Atlus also used the re-release to renege on past errors....
Given that famous YouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg first got engaged to his wife Marzia in Japan, it was a logical choice for the couple to head back to the country for their honeymoon. Unfortunately for the newlyweds, the honeymoon got off to a rough start when Marzia accidentally dropped a brand-new knife vertically onto her toe, causing plenty of bleeding and a nasty bruise. Luckily for the Kjellbergs, that seemed to be the extent of the injury: Marzia reports that while there was plenty of blood and that the skin near the cut was a shade of purple, she’s been able to walk on her injured extremity and it hasn’t appeared to have changed any of their honeymoon plans....

Rocket Panda Games released a new trailer of the upcoming 2D fighting game Phantom Breaker: Omnia introducing another of the playable characters. To be specific, we take a look at Tokiya Kanzaki, one of the few male members of the game’s waifu-powered cast. You could say he’s the game’s Bruce Wayne, more or less. This follows a string of more character trailers of which one featuring Mikoto, one showcasing Itsuki herself, one featuring Waka, one starring Yuzuha, one showcasing Ren, one focusing on Ria, one revealing Maestra and Artifactor, one focusing on Sophia, one showcasing Shizuka, one starring Ende, one introducing the Rin & Gaito pair, one focusing on Infinity, one showcasing M, and one starring Cocoa....
Obsidian Entertainment has announced a brief delay for upcoming RPG Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire on PC. Originally pencilled in for an April 3 release, Deadfire will now arrive just over a month later on May 8. According to a statement released by Obsidian, the sequel needs a little more time in the oven before it’s ready to ship. ‘We know you’re as excited as we are about the upcoming launch of Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire,’ said the developer....
PAX East is underway, and while the event has been pared down a touch due to coronavirus concerns, those still attending the event were treated to an interesting Q&A with PlatinumGames director Hideki Kamiya. The director behind Viewtiful Joe, Okami, and Bayonetta took part in the panel “101 Things You Didn’t Know About PlatinumGames” alongside producer Atsushi Inaba on Saturday, and during the panel fielded questions from fans. While fans may have had questions regarding the recently announced Project GG, a new title from PlatinumGames that will finish the “hero trilogy” started by Viewtiful Joe and The Wonderful 101, it was a question about revisiting older or failed IPs that is setting online forums alight....
PlayStation has announced it’ll offer PlayStation Plus services for free this weekend, allowing everyone to play online regardless of if they have a current subscription. The company has declared via Twitter that all online multiplayer will be free for the duration. That means PS5 and PS4 owners will be able to enjoy online games of titles like FIFA 22, Grand Theft Auto: Online and Call of Duty: Vanguard for no extra charge....

Sony has revealed the Backbone One, a new controller that works with iPhone, specifically created for PlayStation Remote Play. Backbone One PlayStation Edition is similar to the Backbone One. The main differences are that it is very much a DualSense-inspired version. Note the white colour, and, of course, the PlayStation symbols. Sony intends the controller to promote the PS Remote Play app, available in iTunes. This you can use to stream games from your PlayStation5 or PlayStation 4....

Sony may have plans to make PS2 games available on PS4 after a range of PS2 classics were rated for the new console by European age ratings board PEGI. Ape Escape 2, Dark Chronicle and Twisted Metal: Black were each rated for PS4 by PEGI this morning, although it isn’t yet clear why. Could Sony be in the process of adding them to streaming service PS Now? Or will they be released as individual downloads....
