Platinum Games is creating a new NieR title for PS4, Square Enix has announced. Currently very early in development, the new NieR game is being produced by Yosuke Saito, who has previously worked on Dragon Quest. The game director is Yoko Taro, who was behind the original NieR. While Guitar Hero may have fallen out of style in recent years, its guitar controller apparatus has not. Gamers tend to forget that Guitar Hero guitars can actually be used across a variety of games, including non-music genre-related games such as 2007’s Halo 3 on Xbox 360, which one player beat on Legendary using a Guitar Hero guitar. Rage 2’s first DLC, Rise of the Ghosts, is now scheduled for a September release as opposed to its planned release window next month.
