The development house behind Singularity, Raven Software, has been putting out the call for applications from people who want to work on an “established, console based, realistic military first person shooter” (try saying that three times fast). Raven is seeking staff members who can work on visual and other effects and game assets (modeling, textures). Speculation regarding Raven working on Black Ops DLC has been put to rest as the job listing calls for those interested to “come work with [Raven] on our exciting new unannounced title....

Despite winning numerous Game of the Year awards in 2018, Red Dead Redemption 2 has had its fair share of love and hate from the gaming community. In 2019 the game has finally made its way over to the PC platform, and it will likely be met with the same type of opposing energies from incoming players. Many people will fall in love with Arthur Morgan and the world around him, while others will wish they had just stuck with Grand Theft Auto V....

Capcom’s remake of Resident Evil 2 has topped the UK chart following its release last Friday, giving the publisher its biggest launch since Resident Evil 7: Biohazard two years ago. The survival horror revamp didn’t quite match Resi 7’s performance, shifting around 18% fewer copies than the 2017 title. However, it still beat all Capcom releases since then, including Monster Hunter World. We don’t know exactly how many copies of Resi 2 were shifted, but the PlayStation 4 version took the lion’s share with a whopping 74% of all sales....

2019 has been a big year for the Resident Evil franchise, with the critically acclaimed remake of Resident Evil 2 debuting earlier this year and multiplayer spinoff Project Resistance being announced last month. However, it appears the franchise has another big surprise to share in the form of a new prequel to 2017’s Resident Evil 7, although there’s a pretty hefty catch. Titled Biohazard 7: Walkthrough The Fear, this new game is an immersive VR experience coming exclusively to The Plaza Capcom Ikebukuro store’s VR-X booth in Tokyo on October 26....

Blizzard has announced that it’s disabling the character of Mei for a couple of weeks in free-to-play hero shooter Overwatch 2. The news was announced to fans on the Blizzard Support Twitter account, with the foot of the blame being placed on a bug related to one of her abilities. “We are temporarily disabling Mei to address a bug with her Ice Wall ability that allows heroes to reach unintended locations,” the tweet reads....

The annual Winter Wonderland event is back on in Overwatch, bringing a holiday flair to the hero shooter, and Blizzard is getting in on the spirit of the season by giving players a special gift just for logging in before the event wraps up on January 2nd. Fans who log into Overwatch between now and the event’s end will receive five Winter Loot Boxes, giving everyone a chance at grabbing one of the holiday themed skins for their favorite heroes....

It’s been a while since a new hero joined the Paragon roster, and although there is a new hero still to come in December, Epic has revealed Boris. Boris will be Paragon‘s first hero of 2018 and while we don’t know much about him, some information has been datamined. The info indicated he will have some kind of AOE attack self-explosion, a pull, shield, and ultimate that knocks up a target with a leap....

If you want Sephiroth to take his shirt off in Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia, it’ll cost you. Square Enix is likely betting that people are willing to pay to get Sephiroth to go around topless. Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia is, in many ways, a slash-fic game created out of everyone’s favorite Final Fantasy characters, and as we all know, most of those narratives end with everyone getting naked. Really, it was only a matter of time....

This past week has been a little slow on the old updates here at PC Invasion but there has been a good reason for it. Late last week we ran a few tests on numerous parts of the site and decided there were a number of issues that really did need resolving. The problem we faced was old code that was kicking around from the previous site prior to changing the name of the site a couple of years ago....

Pushing the PC version of The Division too far beyond the PS4 and Xbox One versions would be “unfair” on console users, one of the game’s developers has said, stating that Ubisoft does “have to kind of keep it in check with the consoles”. Speaking in a video posted by Team Epiphany, the unnamed developer explained that “one good thing about The Division is we’ve always considered the PC as a separate platform....

Konami has revealed that Pro Evolution Soccer 2018, aka PES 2018, will be getting a demo on August 30. The PES 2018 demo will give players the opportunity to try out the new slower-paced gameplay, while also showing off some of the new features that are coming in the September 12 release of Konami’s stellar football series. The demo will be offline only, with players able to take part in exhibition and co-op modes....

Nintendo is heading to London’s Hyper Japan Festival 2015, giving attendees the opportunity to try out a host of upcoming games. Splatoon, Super Mario Maker and Star Fox Zero will each be playable on the show floor on Wii U, as will Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes on Nintendo 3DS. Visitors to the Nintendo stand will also be able to experience a special 30th Anniversary section dedicated entirely to Super Mario....

Zamazenta is the second Gen 8 legendary, joining its partner Zacian, to arrive in Pokémon Go. Zamazenta, like it’s partner Zacian, has two forms - Hero of Many Battles and Crowned Shield. Currently, only the Hero of Many Battles form has been released in Pokémon Go and, to defeat it, you need to know Zamazenta’s counters and weaknesses. Like most legendary Pokémon, Zamazenta is available through five-star raids, which means, for the best chance of defeating it, you should team up with other trainers....

Of the 23 different Poke Balls you can find in Pokemon Sword & Shield, the Quick Ball easily ranks among the best of the bunch. While their usefulness tapers off immediately past the first turn, it’s within that inaugural moment that Quick Balls shine like diamonds and pearls. Ignoring the Master Ball, with its 100 percent success rate but obvious scarcity issue, no other Poke Ball is better suited to that first-round toss....

PUBG: Battlegrounds’ next update will “refine the gunplay meta”. That’s according to developer Krafton, which says update 20.1 – which goes live on 11th October for PC and 19th for consoles and introduces a new ranked season – includes “several improvements to weapon attachments, as well as updates to firing from vehicles, a new ranked season, world and map updates and quality-of-life updates”. In response to the Vertical Foregrip “dominating the battlegrounds as the choice grip slot attachment”, the team is changing the Thumbgrip, Angled Foregrip, Halfgrip, Lightweight Grip - and the Vertical Foregrip itself - in a bid to shake things up, promising to “monitor [our] plays after this balance update”....
