Over 15 years after the series’ last installment released, Postal 4: No Regerts has been both announced and made available through Steam Early Access. As one might expect from a game in the Postal series, it promises to be absolutely absurd from start to finish. The first Postal game released all the way back in 1997, followed by Postal 2 in 2003; they’re each known for being quite controversial games with dark humor and excessive amounts of violence....

The latest trailer for Prey shows off a whole host of the Typhon enemies that you’ll come against in one of this year’s most anticipated titles. Mimics look like the Facehuggers from the Alien franchise, and are able to transform into all manner of inanimate objects; Phantoms are the more human-like creatures that fire glowing orbs at you, and pack a punch at close-range; and Telepaths have the ability to control weaker lifeforms, which is impressive for a giant, floating jellyfish....

Professional athletes from across the spectrum are amazed at how fast Sonic the Hedgehog really is. Although they’re not quite sure why they’re saying so in front of a camera. Sonic the Hedgehog (the movie, not the game) comes out next month. But before that happens, we get to see some more Sonic ads, and one of them will be running during the biggest game event of the year. The next time you see new material from Xbox One exclusive Quantum Break won’t be until this August’s Gamescom, Remedy CCO Sam Lake has confirmed, with the game set to skip next week’s E3. It’s the second year running that Quantum Break has been absent from E3, having also missed out on last year’s show. Reasons for its absence haven’t been made clear. The game is currently scheduled for release in spring 2016, having previously been due later this year....

After a false start earlier due to a leak, Bethesda has released the teaser trailer for Rage 2. The trailer doesn’t tell us too much about the game at all but it’s full of angry people firing weapons and shouting a lot. A full gameplay reveal is expected tomorrow at around 3:00pm BST so watch out for that. Not everyone is particularly excited at the prospect of another Rage game but perhaps it will be a real surprise…or not....

Rainbow Six Siege will release this autumn, new adverts for the game have confirmed. The game had previously only been given a general 2015 release date. Prior to release, players will get to try the game in a closed alpha test coming soon to PC, and a closed beta test on PS4, Xbox One and PC. A new range of Xbox 360 titles were temporarily made available on Xbox One backwards compatibility over the weekend, including Rockstar’s hit western Red Dead Redemption, Halo Wars, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Alan Wake’s American Nightmare. The games have since been removed, but were “accidentally” made downloadable by players who owned digital copies and followed certain steps to find them. Physical disc copies were not supported. After the error was discovered, Microsoft reportedly attempted to stop users playing Red Dead Redemption by forcing an update that rendered it unplayable and switching the download files to Xbox 360 puzzle game Hexic HD....

Although the third numbered entry in the series, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis differs quite a bit in comparison to the first two titles and Code Veronica which succeeded did. Nemesis still features the typical Resident Evil exploration and puzzle-solving, but it’s far more action-oriented. Jill can actually craft ammo for her hoard of weapon, and players likely won’t be running out of ammunition unless they choose to fight Nemesis at every turn....

Capcom has announced that its smash-hit game Resident Evil 7 will soon be getting a VR prequel. Dubbed Resident Evil 7: Walkthrough The Fear, this prologue is scheduled to premiere on October 26 at The Plaza Capcom Ikebukuro VR-X Booth in Tokyo, Japan. As this post might imply, this VR experience will be a Japan-exclusive event for tourists to partake in. Capcom didn’t give any indication that it would be bringing this prequel to the west....
