Cloned from the Legendary Mew, believed to be the first Pokémon to appear on Earth, Mewtwo was gifted with immense psychic power and used it to destroy the scientists who created him and their lab. And Dr Fuji’s words were correct....

Pokémon has been releasing new and exciting games, movies, and merchandise for more than two decades. In that time fans have seen numerous generations introduce hundreds of new pokémon of varying types, sizes, and inspirations. Many of these new creatures have become fan favorites, but there’s more than a handful of designs that left trainers scratching their heads as the lack of creativity or originality was quite evident. Let’s now look at and rank the least creative Pokémon designs ever....

Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu & Let’s Go Eevee was been praised by both old and new fans of the series, but there is one notable absence from the beginning of the game that annoyed some of the fans of Pokémon Red & Blue. The introduction to Pokémon Red & Blue shows a Gengar battling a Nidorino, which was the same scenario used for the opening moments of the Pokémon anime, except with much better animation than what we saw on the Game Boy....

And as of February 2023, there’s a brand new, long awaited Steel-type Team Go Rocket Grunt to mix things up a bit! It’s up to you to hunt down Arlo, Cliff and Sierra by collecting Mysterious Components and a Rocket Radar in Pokémon Go, which will also help as part of the Shadowy Skirmishes quest....

Nearly a thousand species and counting, and collectively they’re responsible for the success of one of the biggest franchises on the planet. But what about those weird human-looking characters? You know, the humans? There are hundreds throughout the games, and thousands across the incredibly long-running anime. Today, we’ll be looking toward the anime especially, where dozens of non-Pokemon denizens have been getting ample characterization for decades....

We’ve had very little to go on after Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake was unveiled at last year’s Ubisoft Forward. However, we do know of several concrete facts. One, it’s a remake of the 2003 time-bending, parkour-based action game (no surprises, there). And two, it’s been delayed beyond its initial early 2021 release date. Twice, actually, with the second time being indefinite. Unfortunately, we won’t learn more about the game this week....

A new report from Bloomberg indicates that Sony is experiencing some manufacturing troubles as a shortage of components could result in the company pricing the upcoming PS5 a bit higher than expected. With an estimated bill of materials running at about $450 per unit, it’s pretty clear that Sony’s next console will cost more than its predecessor did at launch. The main problem in this situation, as per the report, comes from a shortage of DRAM and NAND flash memory components....

Xbox has announced the games coming to the Xbox Game Pass service for the next couple of weeks with a bunch of titles for subscribers, including the original Psychonauts in the run up to the sequel later this year. First up is a couple of previously announced games, with Dragon Quest Builders 2 arriving on Console and PC from May 4 followed by FIFA 21 landing on those same platforms a couple of days later on May 6....

PUBG Season 7 was all about dinosaurs and the rebirth of Vikendi. With Season 8, the battle royale is going back to the jungle of Sanhok. The lush, smaller map has been given a rework and now features some new buildings and locations. There are also some new toys to play with – a vehicle and grenade. The developer has released a short teaser trailer that gives you a brief preview of the PUBG Sanhok rework....

THQ Nordic has staple-gunned a release date to the upcoming PS4 and Xbox One edition of Rad Rodgers, confirming the 90s-flavored platformer is hitting modern consoles on February 21. Those of you who already down the PC version of the game will receive an update on the same day, which adds all of the content seen in the console release. This includes leaderboards, new customisation items, five new levels, extra enemies to battle, mini-bosses, and additional unlockables....

The Ratchet & Clank movie will not be released on Blu-ray in the UK, Lionsgate has confirmed to VideoGamer. The film will, however, be available to download digitally in the UK from August 22 and on DVD from August 29. The DVD will RRP for £15.99. It also seems to be a particularly odd decision given that most fans of the franchise will have likely played the games on PS3 or PS4 – both of which are capable of playing Blu-ray discs....

A range of major gaming subreddits have been made private following the alleged dismissal of one of the site’s administrators. Victoria Taylor, who is said to have served a key role on the site’s popular Ask Me Anything subreddit /r/iAmA, was allegedly “let go” from her position as Reddit’s Director of Talent, prompting other moderators to retaliate by restricting access to their own gaming hubs. /r/gaming, /r/fallout, /r/finalfantasy, /r/borderlands2 and /r/elitedangerous have all been set to private, meaning only moderators and previously-approved users are able to access them, along with major subreddits /r/art, /r/askreddit, /r/documentaries, /r/music, /r/movies, /r/videos and /r/todayilearned....

Weapon Proficiency is an important stat you should keep your eye on in Returnal. Having a higher Weapon Proficiency will allow for better weapon stats and higher quality weapons. Having a higher proficiency will also allow you to find better weapons as you go across Atropos. The proficiency rate also increases in chunks rather than gradually which is pretty nifty as you face tougher enemies in the game. Selene’s character herself starts with a 100% Proficiency Rate but the Weapon Proficiency is at 0....

Riot Games confirms a summer release date for Valorant, its competitive first person shooter. Over the last week, screenshots of Valorant have leaked online, and now Riot has officially revealed the game and several of its characters. In a new trailer, Riot Games confirmed that Valorant would be available in summer 2020. On the game’s official site, Riot confirms that it will be holding a closed beta for the game but doesn’t say when this will be....

Blizzard has announced that Doomfist will be added to the Overwatch heroes roster next week. Doomfist, the highly anticipated new hero, will be available to play from July 27. Doomfist is the 25th addition to the playable characters roster to date. He was announced earlier in the month, and was included as part of the games PTR (public test realm) in order to test and fine-tune the characters balance. Doomfist is a notorious mercenary who’s one of the leaders of Talon....

Overwatch has made changes to its characters on a regular basis since launch, as the Blizzard team attempts to make the hero-shooter as balanced as possible. One character that has seen quite a few changes over the years is the tank hero D.Va, who may actually be getting another buff as part of an upcoming update to the game. According to Overwatch developer Josh Noh, the game’s developers have tested a cooldown reduction for D....

Path of Exile: Betrayal is shaping up to be the biggest expansion yet for Grinding Gear Games’ ARPG. The secretive Immortal Syndicate, revamped Masters system, returning favorites, new skills, and more are sure to keep fans excited. What led to these changes and new features, though? Perhaps the best person that could answer that is none other than Path of Exile co-creator Chris Wilson, whom I spoke with prior to Betrayal‘s announcement....
