In recent years, Japanese developer and publisher Capcom has dominated the sales charts with the remakes of its classic games and sequels of its biggest franchises. Now, PC video game retailer Fanatical is currently offering massive discounts on games from Capcom’s biggest franchises such as Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Monster Hunter World, Street Fighter, and many more Headlining Fanatical’s Capcom publisher sale is the pre-order of Resident Evil 3 remake, which is scheduled to release on April 3, 2020....

Capcom is celebrating Resident Evil’s 20th anniversary by releasing a series of developer interviews, starting today with Resident Evil producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi. In the video, Kobayashi discusses his perspective on the past 20 years of Resident Evil, from his work on the PlayStation original to the present, before ending with a message to fans. “Resident evil came out on March 22, 1996,” he said. “I never thought I’d still be working on the series 20 years later....

Last night I played Paragon for what I thought would be the final time but apparently, I have one more evening to enjoy the game before Epic pulls the plug. Paragon will officially go offline forever on April 27th at 8AM ET (12:00 GMT) and after that time it will be removed from the Epic Games launcher. Tomorrow will be a sad day for many who have enjoyed the game for the past couple of years and it’s one game that should never have been shut down and development should have continued under new guidance....

Over the past weekend, I was one of the 75,000 people lucky enough to attend PAX Prime 2010. Sure enough, I got my hands on a ton of games, but none that are scheduled to arrive sooner than Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. For those who aren’t up to speed on the game, Birth by Sleep is a PSP-only prequel to the Kingdom Hearts series, and tells the intertwined stories of Terra, Aqua, and Ventus....

Early adopters of Halo 5: Guardians will be able to unlock a bonus Teishen Raikou Armour Set for use in the game, Microsoft has revealed. The new copper-coloured suit is teased at the end of the game’s launch trailer, and will be available to all Xbox Live Gold members who play the game online before November 7, 2015. It isn’t clear whether the suit will also be available to unlock or purchase separately following November 7....

With the PSVR2’s release rapidly approaching, Sony has unveiled the upcoming software line-up for its launch window. According to a recent PlayStation blog post, there will be over 30 titles released between late February and March, in conjunction with the PSVR2’s anticipated release on Feb 22, 2023. A range of familiar names are present and accounted for, including multiple AAA juggernauts such as the Horizon Zero Dawn franchise, Gran Turismo, and Resident Evil — just to name a few....

Pokémon Sword & Shield released recently to pretty positive critical and sales reception and it looks like the franchise shows no signs of slowing down. YouTuber FouseyTube has been banned from Twitch and its not only his viewers who are confused by the decision, but FousseyTube himself. There hasn’t been a statement about the length of the ban which could range from a day to a month. Fousey has a large YouTube following of over 10 million subscribers, but his Twitch account is relatively low key, which only adds to the mystery of the ban....

Postal Redux, the high-definition remaster of controversial isometric shooter Postal, will release on PC next Friday, May 20, Running With Scissors has announced, with a Mac and SteamOS release planned for shortly after. It’ll be followed up by a release on PS4 in Q4 2016. Postal Redux puts players in control of a gunman “on the brink of insanity” in a “world gone mad”, and features additional levels plus a brand new score-chasing game mode – Rampage – not found in the original release....

Consoles seem like they have to do everything now, with a lot of companies pushing numerous features into their consoles to get people to buy their product over others. This means that people who buy a video game console these days are getting a lot more than a piece of modern technology to play their video games....

Project Zomboid has acquired quite a lot of popularity as of late, and the developers at The Indie Stones have just released a new patch. The update, numbered 41.66, brings significant tweaks to multiplayer, an overhaul for the foraging system, and much more, including a large slew of fixes. You can read the full patch notes here. Perhaps even more interesting is a Twitter thread written by developer Chris Simpson, which provides an intriguing outline of how NPCs will work when they’ll finally be implemented....

Sometimes it feels like PUBG Corp. is fighting a losing battle. The PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds developer is responsible to one of the most popular games in the world. But with each new, significant update PUBG Corp. releases, the studio continues to isolate players. Battlegrounds is an exciting, tense multiplayer game that’s wracked by performance issues. Because of this, it’s not uncommon for PUBG Corp. to tease an update, whip the PUBG community into a frenzy, and then burn all of their goodwill once players see the game’s still less-than-optimized....

More reveals from The Game Awards, and during last night’s gameplay premiere of the new Miramar desert map, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds also announced that its 1.0 PC release, which will include the map, vaulting, new weapons and much more, is out on December 20 The game has been in Early Access on PC since March 2017, and an earlier build will head to the Xbox One in that console’s own Xbox Game Preview program a few days earlier, on December 12....

Remedy Entertainment, the studio behind third-person shooters Max Payne, Alan Wake and Quantum Break, has partnered with Korean game company Smilegate to co-develop first-person shooter sequel CrossFire 2. The studio will be responsible for developing the game’s story mode, with work already having been underway “for a while”. “The whole team here at Remedy is incredibly excited to be an key partner in developing the future of the CROSSFIRE franchise,” commented the studio....

According to an industry report by The Gamer, Dying Light 2 is currently mired in development hell. Alleged management conflicts have led to a state of disarray at Techland, and many developers are said to not know what to think about the project anymore. Dying Light 2 was delayed indefinitely back in early 2020, with little to no updates provided since then. Judging by this report, we shouldn’t expect the game anytime soon....
