The Behemoth has confirmed that Pit People, the colourful turn-based outing that has actual murderous cupcakes, will depart Early Access on March 2 (via PST). Pit People hit Early Access for PC and Xbox One in January 2017, and features single-player and multiplayer-based shenanigans, with co-op also available for the main campaign. The quirky title includes The Behemoth’s signature hex-based template, offering a rock-paper-scissors flavour of strategy as you deploy units to overthrow your opponents....

Playtonic has said that it would be “great” to see Banjo & Kazooie appear in an Xbox One version of its upcoming 3D platformer Project Ukulele. Speaking on the developer’s forum, former Rare veteran Gavin Price discussed ways in which the two studios could potentially “cross-promote each others games” while explaining comments he made last week about the possibility of collaborating with Rare. “I wanted to get across with my Rare comments how that even though we’ve left them, lots of people are still there who we consider to be our friends and of course we wish them well with whatever they do in their future careers,” he said....

Pokémon Sword & Shield is adding Gigantamax Toxtricity to Max Raid Battles, in both its Amped and Low Key forms and with its new G-Max move (via Nintendo Life). The Punk Pokémon will appear in dens from February 6, at 4.00pm PST until March 8, at 5.00pm PDT. Amped Form will be found in Pokémon Sword and Low Key Form will roll into Pokémon Shield—if players are after one of the forms, they should try and jump into a Max Raid Battle hosted on the other version of the game....

Project Rap Rabbit, the game from the rhythm-action game from the creators of PaRappa the Rapper and Gitaroo Man, has failed to reach its Kickstarter goal of £855,000 after raising only £162k. The development team still feels hopeful about the future, though. ‘We sadly are not in the position to be able to fund further production for a future crowd-funding relaunch involving a title deeper in development, and wouldn’t want to scale back our vision,’ read a statement published on the game’s Kickstarter page....
