PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ latest map has been unveiled at The Game Awards overnight: It’s called Vikendi and features a winter theme. Vikendi is already on the game’s test servers and will be rolled out on December 19. Furthermore, PUBG Corp. has confirmed that it will include at least one new weapon, plus the snowmobile vehicle. Your character will even leave tracks in the snow. Nice. In terms of size Vikendi sits somewhere between Sanhok and Erangel, measuring six by six, being the first PUBG map to do so....
Pyre is a new party-based RPG from Supergiant Games, the indie studio behind the acclaimed Bastion and Transistor. Announced for release in 2017 for Steam and making its console debut on PS4, Pyre sees players lead a band of exiles through an ancient competition across a vast, mythical purgatory. Gunfire Games’ hit title Remnant: From the Ashes is set to receive some new paid content this month. Titled Swamps of Corsus, it will release on April 28 on Steam only. Nintendo has announced that classic RPG Paper Mario will be available to subscribers of the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack next week. The 2001 classic is the first N64 game to be added to the service after it launched back in October. The game sees our favourite plumber head into a paper-ised version of the Mushroom Kingdom. Party Animals has you playing as animals in a chaotic, physics-based brawler, and it’s coming to Xbox X / S, Xbox One, and PC in 2022. Indie developer Thunder Lotus Games made a name for itself with its 2015 title Jotun. Based around Norse mythology, the game was something of a hardcore action title that featured an exquisite hand-drawn art style. Positive reception led to ports across many different platforms with the game eventually landing on Nintendo Switch in 2018. Following up that success, Thunder Lotus released Sundered in 2017.
