Ubisoft’s smashing tactical shooter is gearing up to wrap up its second year with the final season of Year Two DLC content just around the corner for Rainbow Six Siege, and to celebrate the game is holding another free weekend. Sony’s PlayStation Now streaming platform, which offers PlayStation 3 games for a £12.99 a month subscription, is to be shut down on all platforms except PS4 and PC, Sony has announced. From August 15, 2017 the following devices will no longer support PS Now: PlayStation 3 PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV All Sony Bravia TV models (May 15 cut off for some 2016 models) All Sony Blu-ray player models All Samsung TV models Furthermore, from March 15 you will no longer be able to sign up to PS Now through the above mentioned devices....

PlayStation has offered up the first look at the new controllers for their upcoming next-generation PlayStation VR system for PlayStation 5, as well as offering up details on the new controllers’ feature set. In the post unveiling them on the PlayStation Blog, the new controllers are said to “speak to our mission of achieving a much deeper sense of presence and stronger feeling of immersion in VR experiences. It will build upon the innovation we introduced with the DualSense wireless controller, which changed how games “feel” on PS5 by unlocking a new way to tap into the sense of touch....

Pokémon Go has been infiltrated by three new Team Rocket leaders in its latest worldwide update, and introduces a new Special Research questline centred around the villainous gang (via Eurogamer). Team Rocket is a presence in the augmented reality monster-hunting mobile game; they haunt PokéStops, stealing items and challenging players to a battle with their Shadow Pokémon. Now, victory against the Team Rocket grunts will award Mysterious Components. Collect six of these Mysterious Components to build the Rocket Radar and reveal the location of one of the three Team Rocket Leaders lurking close by....

Mega Lopunny is the mega evolution of the rabbit Pokémon, Lopunny, which was released as part of 2021’s Spring into Spring event in Pokémon Go. Like all Mega Evolutions, Mega Lopunny can’t be directly caught in Pokémon Go. Instead, you need to keep defeating it in Mega Raids until you’ve collected enough Mega Lopunny Energy for its evolution. While this used to take around three Mega Raids to get the requisite amount of Mega Energy, you can frequently just do it in one, thanks to the 2022 Mega Raid rebalancing....

Drain Punch is a physical Fighting type punching move that heals its user by 50% of the damage dealt. While the move has been around for a while, it becomes especially useful in Scarlet and Violet, specifically in Tera Raid Battles. Since Raid Pokémon have massively increased stats, using Drain Punch on them allows your Pokémon to get some good damage in while sustaining itself. The Pokémon Company International has dropped a new trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet over the weekend. The trailer came at the end of the 2022 Pokémon World Championships in London. As such, this trailer is mostly focused around Competitive Play. The trailer introduced a new Pokémon by the name of Cyclizar. Essentially, they’re a dragon/Normal type and have a move that’s also brand new to this entry in the series....

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will allow players to change the nature and the stats of their Pokémon through new items and features. A Pokémon’s Nature was introduced in the Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald games. It affects two of the Pokémon’s stats and gives them a varying archetype in battles; for example, the Sassy Nature increases their Special Defense but decreases their Speed. Nature would be randomly rolled by the game, but there were a few workarounds that could ensure a certain personality for a wild Pokémon....

A new web-comic debuted this week, adding back-story to an already rich story, before the release of the widely anticipated Portal 2. PUBG has been testing a rating system for its upcoming Ranked Matchmaking for a few months. So far, the tests have been an attempt to develop the right algorithm to rate and rank players.
