Rare has revealed Sea of Thieves, an online pirate-themed first-person adventure heading exclusively to Xbox One. Sea of Thieves appears to put players in the role of a pirate, allowing them to explore a shared online world with other players. Rare describes the game as the most ambitious title it’s ever created. A release date has yet to be announced.

Rhianna Pratchett has bid a fond farewell to the Tomb Raider franchise, having helped rejuvenate the Lara Croft adventure series in her role as writer on the 2013 origin story and follow up Rise of the Tomb Raider. “Rhianna was instrumental in helping us find Lara’s voice in the 2013 origin story, and through Rise of the Tomb Raider she shaped Lara into the evolving heroine we know today,” reads a statement from Crystal Dynamics....

The upcoming Ratchet & Clank CG-animated movie will feature an all-star cast including Paul Giamatti, John Goodman, Bella Thorne, Sylvester Stallone and Rosario Dawson, The Hollywood Reporter states. The new voice talent joins the existing cast from the video game franchise, including James Arnold Taylor as Ratchet, David Kaye as Clank, Armin Shimerman as Nefarious, and Jim Ward as Captain Qwark. Dublin-based studio Vela Games has announced that it has opened sign-ups for alpha testing of the studio’s debut project from a number of ex-League of Legends and EA developers. Currently going under the codename ‘Project-V’ the game will be set in a science-fantasy universe with an “evolving narrative and setting”.
