PUBG Mobile is hosting a tournament with a $600,000 prize pool and tons of in-game loot for participants. PUBG corporation partnered with Tencent, the Chinese gaming company, in order to hold this worldwide tournament for PUBG Mobile. They’re calling it the “Star Challenge” since in order to register for the tournament you (or your friend) must have at least 1,000 followers on social media. That includes Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, and various other region-specific social media platforms....

With the first round of PlayerUnkown’s Battlegrounds new smaller Savage map testing done and dusted, PUBG is holding the second round next week. Ubisoft has a bit of a problem on its hands, as the company has temporarily disabled one of the operators in Rainbow Six: Siege. It appears that some players are taking advantage of an exploit linked to the shield-wielding Defender — Clash — and she will remain unplayable until the issue has been resolved. Rainbow Six Siege is to receive an open beta test in the days ahead of its release, Ubisoft has announced. Available from next Wednesday, November 25 through to Sunday, November 29, the beta will offer all PS4, Xbox One and PC players the chance to give the game a go ahead of its release the following Tuesday, December 1. The beta will be available to pre-load from November 23, and will open one day early to participants of last month’s closed beta on November 24....

Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Seige is going into its fifth year as a hit multiplayer shooter, and now it’s clear that the game won’t be slowing down anytime soon. On the contrary: Ubisoft announced its current plan to have the game available to play for both highly-anticipated next-gen consoles at the time of their launch. That means Ubisoft is aiming to have versions of Rainbow Six Siege ready for the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 by the holiday season in 2020, which is the projected release window for both next-gen consoles....

Ever since the release of Resident Evil 2 Remake earlier this year there have been rumors that Capcom has plans for a Resident Evil 3: Nemesis follow-up. In what could be described as titan-level news, EA has bought Titanfall creators Respawn Entertainment in a deal worth around 400 million dollars as per an announcement by the companies last night. The terms of the deal will see EA pay $151 million in cash for the studio and up to $164 million in equity over the next four years. Furthermore, EA may be required to pay ‘additional variable cash consideration that is contingent upon achievement of certain performance milestones’ up to the tune of $140 million dollars....

Riders Republic, Ubisoft’s next extreme sports game, is the next game in line to be delayed this year. Originally planned to come out on February 25, Riders Republic combines a variety of skiing, biking, and wing suiting, all in massive, 50+ player races. Ubisoft announced they have decided to delay the game until later this year. Riders Republic delay is seemingly one of many coming delays Ubisoft shared the news of the delay on Twitter, where it explained the decision had been made to “allow the passionate team to deliver the best fun fueled experience to the players....
