Bethesda has revealed a new Dishonored 2 standalone adventure at its E3 showcase. In Death of the Outsider you play as Billie Lurk, reunite with the notorious assassin Daud, and, it seems, try and kill an actual god. According to the data shared by Piscatella, overall consumer spending for the month of November was up 3% year-on-year thanks to a surge in PS5 supply and new game sales. Double Fine has released some new screenshots of upcoming action adventure Psychonauts 2, showing off how the title is shaping up in the wake of the recent announcement of the original coming to Xbox Game Pass this month. The latest update for PUBG just made things a bit more gruesome. In what would have been more fitting as a Halloween patch instead of a Holiday patch, the team has – among other things - improved blood effects to make them “bloody realistic.” Highlighting PC Update 5.3, which is now live on the Test Server, these new blood effects mean that blood splatter will now be shown on walls and floors....
Bluehole has rolled out PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds update 9 for Xbox One users today, although disappointingly it does not come with the new desert map many were anticipating. Still, there’s plenty of key bugs squashed in the update, as well as various improvements to general gameplay that should ensure the Xbox One edition of the every-man-for-himself shooter delivers a more polished experience. For staters, party matchmaking has been tweaked so that it is now influenced by the player’s MMR, squad member colour visibility has been improved, and you can now rotate your character during customisation using the right analogue stick....
There are currently 73 fighters available in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with the recent release of Banjo & Kazooie. That number will climb to 74 when Terry from King of Fighters arrives this November. That’s an almost unprecedented number of characters for a fighting game, and one which is only surpassed by Super Street Fight IV Arcade Edition at 78 characters. But Smash Bros doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Nintendo keeps adding more characters and even seems to be planning on another DLC package....
Rainbow Six Extraction on Xbox Series X Rainbow Six Extraction started life as an incredibly popular limited-time game mode for its PvP predecessor, Rainbow Six Siege. Following the positive reception, Ubisoft opted to turn the mode into its own full-fledged game, giving players a chance to step into the boots of their favorite Operator once more and take on the Archaean alien threat. Much like Siege, Extraction offers up some compelling tactical shooter action that can be booted up for a quick 20-minute blast with some friends, or for hours at a time as you grind out XP to level up your Operators....
Following its rocky launch, Rainbow Six Siege has only gone from strength to strength. The squad based shooter recently surpassed 20 million registered players, and it’s not planning on stopping any time soon. The next step for the game is to reach (and pass) 100 operators, which is ambitious because it’s only just increased to 34 with the recent Blood Orchid update. Rainbow Six Siege’s product director, Nicolas Lefebvre, discussed Ubisoft’s plans for the game going forward in an interview with PCGamer....
