Short Version: Red Dead Redemption delivers an eye-popping visual experience with great character dynamics. Every aspect of this game fits like a well-made puzzle. In February of last year, Rockstar Games announced Red Dead Redemption, the spiritual sequel to the 2004 hit Red Dead Revolver. Over the past year and a half, we have been teased with screenshots and videos of the latest open world western. We’ve taken a quick look and shared our first impressions of Red Dead Redemption already, and now we’ve finished the full game....

As previously promised, Blizzard showed off a bunch of new Overwatch 2 information in a panel at Blizzcon over the weekend, including a look at two new maps, new gameplay features and a glimpse at new character Sojourn. The panel, entitled ‘Behind the Scenes of Overwatch 2‘ showcased the new Rome and New York City maps, and like the maps based on “real” locations in the first game, they’re a blend of old and new with famous landmarks such as the Coliseum given an Overwatch twist with futuristic touches....

Paradox, the developer of strategy game Crusader Kings 3, is doubling the price of the game’s DLC packs. Currently priced at $6.99 (£5.19 in the UK), the Flavour Packs will cost $12.99 from 13th September. In a forum post (thanks TheGamer), the developer said it was “altering the prices of our Flavour Packs (Northern Lords and Fate of Iberia) to reflect the overall value of this kind of content moving forward”....

The fans of Vampire: The Masquerade have been waiting for a new video game based on the property since 2004 when Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines was released on PC. Bloodlines is considered to be one of the greatest RPGs of all time and it still has a popular modding community to this day, which may be why there are hints that the game is getting a sequel. Vampire: The Masquerade started out as a tabletop role-playing game in a similar vein to Dungeons & Dragons....

Epic’s free-to-play MOBA Paragon will enter open beta on August 16 on PS4 and PC, the developer has announced. The game is currently only available to users who have paid for Early Access. Ahead of its open launch, existing players will also get a new melee hero, Khaimera, on June 21. Khaimera is described that the game’s “first duelist” who “specializes in disrupting team fights with close-up encounters”. You can check out what he looks like in the trailer below....

PAX West is officially returning in 2022, welcoming the gaming industry back to Seattle for another instance of the most attended gaming convention on the West Coast. The news came by way of a press release earlier today, which also revealed when badges will be going on sale. Surprise, Sony fans! Phantasy Star Online 2 is finally coming to PS4 in the West… a full decade after it first release in Japan on PC. The ARPG will debut on PS4 on 31st August, six years after it arrived on PS4 in Japan and over a year later than it arrived in the West on Xbox and PC. Like the versions on other consoles, it will be cross-platform compatible and free-to-play, and carry the “New Genesis” sub-title with fully localised text and character voices in English (thanks, Polygon)....

Halo Infinite is scheduled for a release this holiday season, but there’s still a lot we don’t know about it. PlayStation’s latest acquisition is Haven Studios, the new development team lead by Assassin’s Creed co-creator Jade Raymond following her departure from Google Stadia. Raymond’s studio initially received funding from Sony last year, and has been hard at work on an exclusive new multiplayer PlayStation IP. Today’s news marks a significant further step in that relationship - and is a positive sign for what the studio has built so far. It seems that one of the steps towards becoming a Pokémon Master is stocking up on Red Bull, as a twenty-four-hour Pokémon livestream is happening next week that will be broadcast from within the Glimwood Tangle forest in the Galar region of Pokémon Sword & Shield. Pokémon Sword & Shield have been slowly revealing new types of Pokémon, with the most recent involving a Fighting-type evolution of Farfetch’d, called Sirfetch’d. It seems that Game Freak want to avoid making the same mistake that it did with Pokémon Sun & Moon by not revealing everything beforehand and leaving some surprises for the player to discover for themselves, which means that there are still a lot of unanswered questions about the games....
