A new trailer for Gotham Knights (the game, not the TV show) puts the spotlight firmly on Robin. “It’s hard to imagine a Robin without a Batman,” muses the masked hero, before resolving that he will figure it all out. What then unfolds is a bombastic trailer with Robin showing off his athletic prowess. This includes his various attacks and how he can use “teleportation tech from the Justice League’s satellite” to “zap [himself] short distances in a fight”....

Unlike past Nintendo consoles, the Nintendo Switch is home to tons of high-quality third-party games. Fortnite, The Witcher 3, Skyrim, and even Doom are playable on the usually family-friendly console. Hi-Rez Studios’ team-based shooter Paladins has been in beta for ages and it appears they are ready to flick the switch and finally launch it. PlayStation owners will get an exclusive operator called Oni – complete with Oni blueprints, Activision has confirmed. They’ll get Oni, who is a Samurai-inspired assassin, if they pre-order the game digitally. It is only available to PlayStation players. The information came during the COD Next event, where Activision showed off a load Modern Warfare 2 news, including details about new brand new maps and modes. This Saturday, April 13th, will be Pokémon GO Trainers’ chance to catch a shiny Bagon, one of the more popular Dragon-type Pokémon. While collecting one is cool in and of itself, some players like to go for an extra challenge. They want a shiny Bagon with 100% perfect IVs. IV stands for “Individual Value.” It’s basically an indicator of your Pokémon’s potential for ideal maximum stats. The number isn’t immediately visible, you have to use the “Appraise” function on your Pokémon’s info screen to see how they stack up....

The Pokémon franchise has been straying a little from its familiar formula lately. Only a little, granted, but changes like the removal of HMs and rejigged gyms (Alola’s Island Trials and Galar’s very different gym challenges) have been welcomed by fans. Pokémon Sword and Shield players, however, were totally unsurprised to find that there was a new series of Gym Badges to grab and a new Champion to overthrow. The alleged ‘unbeatable’ Champion of Galar is Leon, Hop’s elder brother....

The Dynamax and Gigantamax mechanics are totally new to Pokémon Sword and Shield, supersizing the pocket monsters and drastically increases their stats. Bethesda has announced that its first-person sci-fi game, Prey, has a free one-hour trial on PS4, Xbox One and PC. All progress including achievements and trophies will carry over into the full game. Players will be able to play through a whole hour of the pretty decent, if critically underappreciated shooter. A word of warning though, it’s pretty damn scary and once the game gets going, it doesn’t ever let up....

The PS4 Slim includes support for faster 5GHz wi-fi, according to someone who managed to get hold of the console ahead of release. Twitter user @shortmaneighty2 uploaded a picture of the console’s manual over the weekend, confirming that the PS4 Slim includes support for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless bands. The current console only features support for 2.4GHz. Support for 5GHz should provide faster download and upload speeds to those who have the appropriate network hardware and bandwidth, although it isn’t clear from the manual whether it will be limited to the older ‘N’ wi-fi protocol or newer ‘AC’ band....
