UK publisher and developer Rebellion has announced that it has acquired the veteran Bitmap Brothers Studio brand and its portfolio of games including Speedball, Chaos Engine, Z: Steel Soldiers and more. Making the announcement via press release, Rebellion said it plans to bring some of those classic series ‘to new platforms’ as well as ‘going forward to create new titles based on its beloved licenses.’ The Bitmap Brothers were founded in 1987, with their first release – shoot em up Xenon – releasing in 1988....

Pagan Online drew me in with its collection of distinct heroes and a campaign story that’s loosely based on Slavic mythology. The gods of this world have disappeared, and it’s up to the hero to rescue them before darkness envelopes everything. It sounded like an exciting, though relatively straightforward, task for this action role-playing (ARPG) fan. Except — I soon discovered that the game isn’t really what I thought it would be....

It’s been a strange week for Paragon following the statement from Epic that they are considering the game’s future (read out thoughts on that). For now, the show must go on and the next patch to drop is the v.45 update which has gone live today. This update primarily focuses on character changes with the majority are listed receiving buffs. The exceptions are Rampage and Kwang who had been nerfed. There are also card changes this week and it’s worth looking through those carefully....
