Players with accounts over level 35, a feat which takes massive amounts of dedication and possibly more than a few dollars, have found themselves suddenly unable to log into the game. After discovering that they were deleted, they contacted support only to get generic responses more often than not....

An exclusive Pokémon Go gathering will take place in London next Saturday, 26th November, at Somerset House. The historic building, located by the Thames near Covent Garden, will feature a “visual Ultra Beast experience” from 5pm onwards, with all seven Ultra Beasts released in Pokémon Go thus far set to put in an appearance. It’ll be the first time all seven will be catchable all in the same place. Attendees will also have access to mysterious “special Pokémon encounters” in the wild and earn a commemorative in-game badge, all before the Ultra Beasts themselves emerge between 6pm and 7....

Professional wrestler Randy Orton, a 13-time world champion and main event star in the WWE, is under fire after using a racial slur on a live Twitch stream. Orton showed up on gamer Brad Radke’s Twitch channel to play Call Of Duty and dropped the n-word while viewers watched in real-time. While the original video for the stream has been taken down for obvious reasons, a viewer caught Orton shouting out the racial epithet in a clip....

PUBG: Battlegrounds has clocked up 80,000 new players daily since going free-to-play earlier this year. Confirming the new figures in its latest financial report, developer/publisher Krafton confirmed that net profit for the company was up 37 per cent when compared with the same quarter last year, even though both operating profit and revenue were down by 6.9 per cent and 7.8 per cent respectively. 94 per cent of the battle royale’s revenue is generated outside of South Korea, where the game is made....

id Software has announced that it is giving the boot to loot boxes in Quake Champions, instead adopting a battle pass system. The battle pass will come into action on December 20, and will see players hoovering up XP by competing in daily and weekly challenges. You’ll then progress through tiers of unlockable rewards, which include weapon skins, vanity items, and XP boosts among other goodies. It’s definitely an improvement over earning loot boxes, that’s for sure, and appears to take a leaf out of Fortnite and PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds’ book....

Quantum Break’s live action episodes which will bind together the upcoming action game will not be included on the game discs, instead being streamed when required, Remedy has told Game Informer. “We have 40 different variations of the show in total where basically your choices get to make it evolve and change whether it’s from a junction choice or we have these things called ‘Quantum Ripples’ which essentially unlocked sort of deleted scenes from the show,” narrative designer Greg Louden explained....

Ubisoft has dropped a brand new map for multiplayer shooter Rainbow Six Siege in the form of the Emerald Plains. The new location is the game’s first brand new arena in three years. Rainbow Six Siege Patch 5.3 is rolling out on PC, PS4 and Xbox One today, including the introduction of a Pause Button in the Custom Lobby during the Operator Selection phase. Netflix’s introduction of a new ad-supported tier last month drew a lot of criticism and division from users of the service, and now research has suggested that the new tier hasn’t worked out as well as the streaming giant might have hoped. The data is provided by Antenna, via Variety, which monitors the subscription economy and shows that only 9% of new Netflix users signed up for the Basic with Ads tier despite being priced 30% less than other tiers....

The first up is an introduction for Misako, Kunio-Kun’s girlfriend and a bloodthirsty, bob cut wielding gal. Grinding Gear Games has announced that Path of Exile, its free-to-play action-RPG that is often seen as a rival to Diablo, will launch for PlayStation 4 in December. The game has already been a huge success on PC and Xbox One, where it has drummed up more than 16 million players worldwide.
