The PlayStation phone, officially named The Xperia Play, was announced last night in a TV ad aired during the Super Bowl. While a bit freaky, showing what looks like a black market operation on an Android robot giving it human thumbs, it does highlight the phone’s gaming pedigree. Information on the phone has been available for many months after a series of leaks on the internet, but the ad also confirmed the phone’s slider design, with the now recognisable PlayStation X, Circle, Triangle and Square buttons all visible on the right, with a gaming d-pad on the left....

Pokémon Go’s annual Halloween event is often one of its best activities and, as expected, this year features a number of new bits and pieces in-game. The event’s first half, running from October 20th to 27th, features the arrival of Mega Banette in Mega Raids for the first time, plus the Shiny versions of Noibat and Galarian Yamask. In Pokemon games the poison attack type has not traditionally been the most popular among players. For starters, it lacks a serious offensive presence. Power Stone creator Takeshi Tezuka would love to bring the fighting game to the Nintendo Switch, as disclosed in an interview with The Guardian. Power Stone was a two-player 3D beat-em-up from Capcom, with a wacky variety of stages for its even wackier roster to battle it out on. It was influenced by steampunk tropes and Victorian fiction, bizarrely enough. The December 2015 PlayStation Plus refresh of free games in Europe has been announced, and it’s not the best. Heading to PS4 are Gauntlet: Slayer Edition and King’s Quest – Chapter 1: A Knight to Remember, each perfectly acceptable, but certainly not a major release. PS3 gamers get Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon and SSX, whilst PS Vita owners can enjoy Rocketbirds Hardboiled and Freedom Wars. PUBG will be introducing their first flying vehicle, the Motor Glider, tonight on PC. It will add to the growing list of vehicles in the game including the Motorcycle, Van, Pickup, Aquarail, Buggy, and others. According to Dot Esports, the Motor Glider will only be added to the PC version later tonight and PS4 and Xbox One players will have to wait until the launch of season six to get it....
