Rainbow Six Siege’s first DLC map could be set on a yacht that has collided with an icy tundra, judging by a new piece of concept art. The tease appears in a video uploaded by Ubisoft Mexico last month (spotted by Reddit), and seems to show the frozen, shipwrecked yacht wedged amongst an icy cliff-face. A different image is used in the US version of the trailer, simply showing what appears to be a submarine emerging out of icy seas....

Though Rockstar’s action-adventure game Red Dead Redemption 2 is approaching its second anniversary this year, small details baked into the experience like protagonist Arthur Morgan’s eyes dilating in different light levels are still being discovered by players. Yet there are also plenty of unintended events being discovered too, like Arthur proving himself to be Force-sensitive by bashing a man’s head in without touching him. The Red Dead Redemption 2 gif uploaded by Reddit user Rooonaldooo99 to the r/Gaming subreddit earlier today is quite clearly showing a glitch rather than a feature, but that hasn’t stopped the Internet from taking the idea and running with it....

Supernatural survival horror sequel Remothered: Broken Porcelain has been given a suitably spooky trailer in time for the festive season, giving a jump-scary look at the halls of the Ashmann Inn where the game takes place. Taking place before and after 2018’s Remothered: Tormented Fathers, Broken Porcelain sees you playing as Linn, who was expelled from an all-girls boarding school and forced to work as a maid in the Ashmann Inn, only to find the building has a terrible history and an ominous presence willing to keep its secrets hidden for good....

Crytek has released a new trailer for PlayStation VR adventure, Robinson: The Journey. The trailer is presented from the player’s perspective – though doesn’t appear to be actual gameplay – and features flashes of the spaceship crash that leads to the game’s protagonist becoming cast away on a mysterious extrasolar planet. Robin opens the door of the ship – against the advice of his robot companion – to reveal a world populated by dinosaurs....

Blizzard is holding their second anniversary event for Overwatch and it kicks off next week. The event will start on 22 May and run until 11 June. The game will also be getting a free weekend from 25 may until 28 May. Overwatch players will be able to get their hands on 50 new cosmetics which includes 11 new skins. New dance emotes are also being added for Doomfist, Moira, and Brigitte....

PixelJunk Monsters 2 is coming to the PlayStation 4, PC, and Switch this Spring, Q-Games has announced. The sequel will be arriving digitally on May 25 for just $14.99, although at the time of writing there’s no word on whether the game will get a physical release. It’s been a long time coming though; the original PixelJunk Monsters was released over ten years ago on PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, and PC....

Bayonetta developer Platinum Games is to announce a new game at E3 next week, IGN has revealed. The game will be streamed live over on the site at 11pm BST next Tuesday, June 16, just hours after E3 opens its doors. It isn’t yet known whether the game will also be revealed during one of the press conferences prior to E3. There isn’t any clue as to what it could be, either, and we don’t know whether it’s a new IP or a sequel to an existing title....

Sony are finally ready to show off the first bunch of games for PlayStation 5 as rumoured earlier in the week, with the company announcing it is indeed to hold a reveal event on June 4. In the post announcing the event on the PlayStation Blog today, Jim Ryan – President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment – says ‘The games coming to PS5 represent the best in the industry from innovative studios that span the globe....

PlayStation has said it would have to cut budgets and lower the quality of its AAA games, if they were to be included in PlayStation Plus at release. “I will refrain from making comments on the competitors’ strategy,” PlayStation exec Hiroki Totoki told investors during the company’s latest financial call, thanks Genki). “Our current thinking is to have development costs [and] appropriate R&D investment for quality products, and that will improve the platform and also improve the business in the long run....

Niantic Labs has announced that popular mobile title Pokémon Go has been updated with new AR+ features on the iOS version of the game to take advantage of Apple’s own enhanced ARKit developer framework technology. In laymen’s terms for Pokémon Go, this means Pokémon will now appear in a fixed point in the world, meaning you can now walk up to them and see the Pokémon represented in proportions that would mirror their actual size in the real world....
