Rainbow Six Extraction has a new gameplay deep dive trailer, showing off its swarming alien creatures and futuristic action. During the Ubisoft Forward showcase, the new trailer detailed several gameplay elements. This included the oddly un-Clancy aliens rampaging throughout. Raising Dion, Netflix’s newest foray into the superhero genre, explores what happens when a single parent has to raise a seven-year-old who begins exhibiting superpowers. Now with Rockstar’s recent reveal of screenshots at a concrete release date, they believe their info is genuine....

Rockstar Games has announced that the Red Dead Redemption 2 original soundtrack is is coming out next month. The Music of Red Dead Redemption 2: Original Soundtrack is being released on July 12, and will be available via Spotify and iTunes. Former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aimé has shared a damning verdict of the games industry’s lack of progress in diversity. Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz as part of his book tour, Fils-Aimé argues that the games industry is “woefully behind” in embracing diversity. “You don’t see it in the executive ranks, you don’t see it in the leadership ranks of key developers. It’s incredibly difficult to find it in various games,” he points out....

Players who enjoy wreaking havoc as a giant kaiju will likely find plenty to love about GigaBash. Announced all the way back in 2019, GigaBash offers a fun, lighthearted take on the kaiju arena brawler, as it sports cartoony monster designs and quick, flashy movement speeds and animations. Those interested in GigaBash now have much more to look forward to, as developer Passion Republic Games revealed a 2022 release window and a closed alpha for players to participate in....

Although not every game made by developer Remedy Entertainment has received massive praise, the studio has still built quite a name for itself. Stunt actress Olivia Jackson has won the legal case levelled against the producers of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, after an appalling filming accident left her with life-changing injuries (via The Hollywood Reporter). Standing in for Milla Jovovich, Jackson was riding a motorcycle at high speed when she crashed into a crane-mounted camera vehicle driving in the opposite direction. The accident caused a twisted spine, paralysis of the top left quarter of her body including her neck, a dislocated shoulder, a severed thumb, punctured lungs, and broken ribs....

The original Resident Evil is quite unlike anything else out there. It’s hammy, has a B-movie charm, and is undeniably one of the best designed video games ever made. During Sony’s most recent State of Play event, the long-rumored Resident Evil 3 remake was finally announced. Devolver Digital has announced a sequel to Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge is finally on its way, and it is rather fittingly called Return to Monkey Island. Monkey Island co-creator Ron Gilbert is spearheading the project, alongside fellow co-creator Dave Grossman. Dominic Armato will also return as the fan-favourite voice of Guybrush Threepwood. To accompany this announcement, a new teaser was also revealed, with a tenuous release date set for some time this year....
