The company cites “high global inflation rates” and other economic challenges that have impacted consumers and created pressure on many other industries as a reason for this price increase. Sony’s next-generation console, the PlayStation 5, launches in less than a year. Over the coming months, video game fans will learn new information about the PS5 but for now, the console remains somewhat mysterious. One surprisingly important topic that’s suddenly become a point of contention is whether the PS5 will have platform exclusives at launch, with a new report claiming it will. Fortnite and the newly released Call of Duty: Warzone may be some of the most popular battle royale games out right now, but they’re not the only ones. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is still one of the most popular games in the world, and it just received a new update on PC test servers this morning. While it’s not as significant as the previous PUBG update that added PS4 and Xbox One party cross-play, the big news is that PUBG, after a lot of teasing, has finally added the Panzerfaust the game, albeit only on the test server....

PUBG are ready to test out some more PlayerUknown’s Battlegrounds changes on the test servers. The update includes improvements to Miramar with more buildings for cover, more off-road vehicle routes, and an upgrade to the item spawn level. Another reason for the Update #4 test is to try out more of PUBG’s anti-cheat systems which they have been continuously working on. This test has therefore been launched to make sure the game is stable with these measures in place....

PUBG Corp. has announced that update 27 for its chicken dinner-giving shooter, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, is hitting the game’s live servers next week, bringing with it Survivor Pass 3: Wild Card. Arriving in time for PUBG’s second anniversary, Wild Card offers up to 60 new rewards, while PUBG Corp. is adding a free two-year anniversary cap to the game’s store. The Survivor Pass 3 will run for a total of 10 weeks, beginning March 26 and wrapping up on June 4....

The developer and publisher announced today that the game will be permanently dropping in price, with the Standard Edition’s rate being cut in half. Overwatch’s Christmas-y themed Winter Wonderland event is now live and kicking, Blizzard Entertainment has announced. Pangaea: New World, an Unreal Engine 4-powered MMO action game about survival in a post-apocalyptic world, is planned to launch at the end of 2016 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, LVR Studio has announced. Using the studio’s love of Fallout, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., EVE Online and Lineage as inspiration, Pangaea sees players exploring 90 square kilometres of game world alone or with friends, fighting monsters, upgrading weapons and armour, and more....

Berlin-based indie developer Phantom 8 decided to unveil more footage of their upcoming stealth action title called Past Cure. Recently, they had also announced that pre-orders are now available in the UK, in the US, and in Canada ahead of its February release date. In the first gameplay walkthrough video, we are able to hear the game’s Animation Artist Nick Mallinder discuss the nature of the game’s stealth system. Past Cure will arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on February 2, 2018....

Fans of Payday 2 have been waiting on news of its sequel for quite some time. In fact, Payday 3 was first announced all the way back in 2017. But development obviously didn’t go exactly as planned. However, in 2021, Starbreeze Studios signed an agreement with Koch Media (now known as Plaion) to get Payday 3 back on track. And that brings us here, with the release of Payday 3 to come in 2023 along with a logo reveal trailer and Steam page that just launched recently....
