Dorfromantik, the peaceful puzzle game from German developer Toukana Interactive, is coming to Nintendo Switch next month. We knew Phantom Abyss was coming to Early Access this month, but we didn’t have an exact release date. The Devolver Digital E3 2021 showcase made it clear that the game is not only still set to release this month, but that it’s coming in just 10 days. That’s right, the game will enter Steam Early Access on June 22, which isn’t long to wait at all. In addition to the announcement, some new Phantom Abyss gameplay footage also debuted which showcases the first-person run and jump action....

In this week’s issue of Famitsu Magazine, developer PlatinumGames stated that it has a “major” announcement to make next week. Two breakout stars of Pokémon Sword & Shield are the Galarian forms of Farfetch’d and Ponyta. The two Pokémon are classic favorites, and their new redesigns give them even more personality. The latest promotional trailer for Pokémon Sword & Shield is the longest one yet, as there is a twenty-four-hour long livestream currently happening that shows a forest within the Galar region. The stream has been on for a few hours and little has happened to justify its length, outside of some soothing music. The developers of Pokémon Sword & Shield have been gradually revealing information about the games and there are still many questions that the fans have about their content, even though they are only six weeks away from being released....

A new studio called Bass Lion Entertainment is reportedly working on a ‘Project Shaolin‘ game featuring the Wu-Tang Clan. That’s according to a report from Windows Central, later corroborated by VentureBeat’s Jeff Grub on his podcast. (Spotted by Video Games Chronicle.) According to them the project is in production in partnership with Xbox. It’s supposedly a “third-person melee-orientated RPG with four player co-op.” The report also adds that the game is expected to run for a “couple of dozen” hours, with a “rich endgame comprised of seasonal content drops and other updates....

As a proud resident of the state of Michigan, I know a thing or two about surviving the bitter cold of a northern winter. However, my main concerns are simply staying fed and keeping warm. Bethesda has announced it’s released a new free next-gen update for the recently enhanced versions of 1996 FPS, Quake. As per the announcement, the update adds a couple of features for those playing on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Namely, that of support for a 4K maximum resolution and 120FPS framerate. The Xbox side also gets Play Anywhere support, meaning you can transfer progress from console to PC. The PlayStation 5 meanwhile gets DualSense Adaptive Trigger and support for the controller’s integrated speaker....

Fresh details have come to light of the once-planned sequel to Bully, Rockstar’s brilliant schoolyard sim, as part of a new Game Informer report. Bully 2 would have featured a vastly-expanded playable world three times the size of the original game, where every building could have been entered (legally or via forced entry). Interactions with NPCs would have been influenced by a game-wide morality system, similar to that found in Red Dead Redemption....

While the Resident Evil 2 remake was a mostly faithful recreation of the original game, it sounds like the upcoming Resident Evil 3 remake will have a bit more changes to the story. Capcom has teased that the Resident Evil 3 remake story will have some different beats than the original game, and it will also feature some changes to certain characters. Specifically, Capcom is going to be giving an expanded role to Dario Rosso in the Resident Evil 3 remake....

Capcom reveals two new playable masterminds and two new maps for Resident Evil Resistance. Resident Evil Resistance is the online multiplayer mode that will be releasing with the Resident Evil 3 remake in April. In a press release, Capcom confirmed that Alex Wesker and Ozwell Spencer will be some of the playable characters in Resident Evil Resistance. Wesker, who was an antagonist in Resident Evil Revelations 2, likes using traps and a carnivorous plant called Yateveo to stop survivors....

Forge, the newest hero on his way to Apex Legends, has been dispatched before he got a chance to touch down in Season 4, sparking speculation that Respawn likes a red herring (via Rock Paper Shotgun). In the latest animated short, James ‘The Forge’ McCormick is interviewed on his debut in the Apex Games. The five-time Hyper-fighting Federation Champion bragged of his strength and challenged the Legends to go toe to toe, but said that he was “blessed to have such great support behind [him]....

The 2019 Overwatch League awards season is quickly coming up and the league announced that they will be expanding their season awards from the original three of last year to five total categories this season. The Dennis Hawelka Award, Overwatch League MVP, and Grand Finals MVP all make their returns with the additions of Role Stars and Rookie Of The Year. These are another way that Overwatch League is successfully modeling their league after major traditional sports leagues....
