This weekend at PAX East, we went hands on with Bethesda’s dungeon crawler Hunted: The Demon’s Forge. This title offers a unique co-operative gameplay experience with gamers banding together with a friend, via split-screen, or online. The story in Hunted: The Demon’s Forge is your standard fare. An evil force is spreading across the land, kidnapping and killing innocent people - and its your job to take it out. The atmosphere is very dark and dreary - doing an amazing job of setting the tone for the adventure ahead....

Persona 5 Royal has received a snapshot of the new Memento mechanic, which is a unique exploration feature coming to the refashioned rendition of Persona 5 (via DualShockers). When booting up Sony’s free-to-play Home service, it’s safe to say users don’t expect to be greeted by harassment, but the idyllic mall and minigame-filled virtual social space is increasingly becoming, well, home, to a bunch of lewd weirdos. Game Freak revealed last week that it will be releasing two DLC packs for Pokémon Sword and Shield later this year — The Isle of Armor this summer, and then The Crown Tundra in the fall. This is an alternative to the third version of its games that is normally released a short while after the first two, and has been welcomed by many Pokémon fans. Replacing the third game model, which is often seen as a cash grab, is just one of the reasons Game Freak should be praised for its DLC plans....

The Lush Jungle event celebrates Pokémon who can be found within jungle-like habitats in Pokémon Go. As part of this event, you can complete the Lush Jungle timed research quest and collect event exclusive field research tasks. The next Alola themed special research quest - An Akala Adventure - has also been released as part of the Lush Jungle event. Best of all, however, three Gen 7 Pokémon have been released as part of this event - the legendary Tapu Lele, Fomantis and, its evolution, Lurantis....

The survival horror game Dead Space came out of nowhere when it was released back in 2008. It seemed like your standard corridor third person shooter with a different locale, but after gamers got their hands on it they began to realize that there was more to the game. It’s always exciting when games get new skins, and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is no exception. They just announced a partnership with DC Comics. This will see new skins based on the Joker and Harley Quinn’s Suicide Squad incarnations added into the game. Bethesda has declared that its annual QuakeCon 2022 event will once again be an online-only affair when it returns this August. The publisher made the announcement as it revealed the dates for this year’s show. It said “Like you, we’re disappointed to not return to Dallas this year. An event of this size requires months of planning, and in this case, we had to make decisions when there was still too much uncertainty to commit to successfully executing an in-person QuakeCon....

Ever since 2010’s Heavy Rain, developer Quantic Dream’s particular brand of interactive drama has remained exclusive to Sony platforms. With the release of said game on PC, however, that era seemed to be coming to a close. Turns out that was a good assumption to make. Quantic Dream founder David Cage revealed in an interview with DualShockers that the studio will no longer make games exclusive to consoles. Thanks to a bug in the in-game gem store, players can pick up Episode 1 of Guild Wars 2’s The Icebrood Saga for free. After getting delayed way back in July, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction now has an official launch date. Do you recall when Ubisoft may have accidentally leaked the day on its website back in October? Well, turns out the leak was accurate. Rainbow Six Extraction has a release date of January 20, 2022. With the recent release of Rainbow Six Extraction, fans are wondering what the ranking system looks like in the newest game. Unlike Rainbow Six Siege, you are not pitted against players around the globe. It is instead a ranked PVE called Maelstrom Protocol which is designed to be an end game for players. The mode requires a weekly grind with endless objectives and time limitations. The level of difficulty and the Archaean opponents increase as you proceed in this mode....

Ubisoft has lifted the lid on the post-launch content coming to co-op shooter Rainbow Six Extraction after it launches in January. The game’s high level content will kick off with a mode known as Maelstrom Protocol. This will comprise of a weekly challenge mode, complete with a ranking system. You and your squad will take on a gauntlet of nine subzones that get progressively tougher. Enemies will be harder to take down, resources will be more scarce and your time will get shorter each round....

The situation around Overwatch 2 has not been smooth sailing, and many players weren’t happy about the need to grind out Kiriko through the free section of the Battle Pass. Kiriko was unlockable at Level 55, and with the amount of experience points you earn, it took an unreasonable amount of time for most casual players. To make things a bit easier, Blizzard has announced it will lower the level requirement for free players to unlock Ramattra, the newest Overwatch 2 tank hero....

Gearbox head honcho Randy Pitchford has revealed that a Texan man working as his personal assistant has conned him and his wife out of nearly three million dollars. John Wright Martin, 33, began working for Pitchfords back in 2014, and according to the Dallas News, earned an annual salary of $45,000. However, Martin started to make several purchases using his employer’s American Express business account, including expensive clothing, jewelry, electronics, movie rentals, and other items....
