Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2’s planned summer content update, Trouble in Zombopolis: Part One, is now available on PS4, Xbox One and Origin, EA has announced. Included in the update is Zombopolis, the biggest zombie city the development team has created so far. “In the streets of Zombopolis, Dr. Zomboss and the zombies are plotting to build a Mega Zombot that, when charged, may put the fate of plant-kind in grave danger,” explains creative director Justin Wiebe....

Rainbow Six Siege is going south of the border as Mexico will host tournaments for the popular tactical FPS in 2020. Rainbow Six Siege’s second DLC is called ‘Operation Dust Line’, Ubisoft has revealed ahead of the content’s official unveiling later today. The publisher confirmed the name on Twitter in an image that appears to show a sand-covered road. The content is expected to be themed around the USA, and introduce a brand new map and two new Operators. DLC themed around Brazil and Japan is also set to roll out later this year....

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw is a game that hasn’t received a ton of press yet, but is likely about to blow up. The high octane space flight and fight cockpit simulator releases in just a few days and buzz is starting to spread. The game seems to put fun over realism as a central premise and is all about turning up the volume on the radio and blasting through the galaxy to hunt down a killer and outrun the debt the protagonist has racked up along the way....

We hope that this will end up being one of the strangest stories we bring you this week, but Bond 25 director Cary Fukunaga has denied rumors that production on the latest Bond movie was delayed due to his addiction to Red Dead Redemption 2. This all started when The Sun (a source which has traditionally had to be taken with a grain of salt) published a strange report which suggested that members of the Bond crew were kept waiting for hours while Fukunaga played video games....

Fans of Red Dead Redemption now have something to bide the time whilst waiting for the recently-delayed game: Red Dead Redemption now has a Facebook application! It’s entitled Red Dead Redemption: Gunslinger, and the title is pretty self-explanatory. Players join up and select from 3 classes (sharpshooter, outlaw or fast hands), and duel opponents to level up. You have different attributes, like Attack, Dodge, Health and Stamina to work on (unless you like dying a lot!...

Redfall’s map will be the largest in any of Arkane Austin’s games to date, the developer has said in a new video. Karen Segars, art director at Arkane, described the setting as quaint and small, despite the fact that Redfall will be its “biggest” game. Talos One, the setting for Prey 2017, is dwarfed by a farm area players visit in one of Redfall’s early missions, Studio director Harvey Smith recalled....

Saber Interactive has announced that WipEout-inspired racer Redout 2 will arrive on May 26 on consoles and PC. 34BigThings’ anti-gravity racer will launch with a whopping 36 tracks when it arrives later this month. All of these courses can also be raced in reverse too, doubling the number of routes to 72. Players can also look forward to an extensive single player campaign too, on top of its other game modes....

The new live-action Resident Evil movie has been dated for a release in cinemas this September. According to Deadline, which broke the news, the Constantin Film produced movie will be distributed by Sony Screen Gems in time for what’s known as Labor Day Weekend in the US and September 3 for the rest of us. In case you need to be brought up to speed, the reboot movie is said to be much closer in terms of plot to the games than the Milla Jovovich-fronted series, being set in Raccoon City in 1998 and will star Kaya Scodelario as Claire Redfield, Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine, Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield, Avan Jogia as Leon S Kennedy and Tom Hopper as Albert Wesker....

As Retro Bowl continues to climb the App Store charts, more and more people are enjoying the wonderfully old-school football game. Featuring graphics similar to the classic Tecmo Bowl — but with modern touch controls — it’s easy to get hooked on building a championship team. Retro Bowl doesn’t feature any sort of tutorial, so many of the more nuanced gameplay mechanics can easily go unnoticed. League of Legends developer Riot Games may end up paying much more than expected to settle the class action lawsuit filed against the company in November 2018. In August 2019, Riot Games announced that it had agreed to pay a $10 million settlement to the nearly 1,000 employees who had participated in the class action lawsuit against the game developer. However, two California state agencies recently took a closer look at the case and made the determination that the plaintiffs might be owed closer to $400 million....

Blizzard Entertainment has finally released the sequel to Overwatch and players are hopping on to try it. While there are many new players, the veterans of Overwatch are already excited to see the changes made to the characters. Many of the characters are stronger in Overwatch 2 when we compare them to the old ones. The cavalry is (almost) here! Soon you will be able to “build the perfect team, brick by brick.” Yesterday, Blizzard announced that Overwatch Lego sets will be making their way to floors and table tops in the near future. A full-length teaser trailer was released via the Overwatch twitter account, showing off the Lego model for Tracer. In the video, Overwatch game director, Jeff Kaplan, assembles the Tracer mini-figure, which comes to life and uses her blink ability to teleport around the screen....

The first seven teams for the Overwatch League have finally been revealed. Nate Nanzer, the Commissioner of the Overwatch League, announced the seven city-based teams and each team’s owner. There are a total of five USA based teams, one team from China, and one team from South Korea. Additionally, a post on the Overwatch League’s website explained some of the details on how the tournaments will run. Overwatch is the highly successful and wildly popular online, team-based, first-person shooter from Blizzard Entertainment....

Blizzard has announced that it will change the name of Overwatch hero McCree amidst the fallout from the ongoing Activision Blizzard sexual harassment lawsuit. In a statement posted to Twitter, Blizzard gave their reasoning for the change. “As we continue to discuss how we best live up to our values and to demonstrate our commitment to creating a game world that reflects them, we believe it’s necessary to change the name of the hero currently known as McCree to something that better represents what Overwatch stands for....

Pawnee forever! After the world spent five dark, terrible years without happiness factory Parks and Recreation, the show is now returning for one last last ride. NBC has announced that Parks and Recreation will air a special half-hour episode on April 30 to raise money for Feeding America during the coronavirus crisis. Not only will this be a full original episode written by co-creator Michael Schur and several other Parks writers, but the entire cast will reunite....

I’ve made the most out of my gaming picks this 2018. I know, I may have cheated a bit since I also included expansions, but hey, if they add so much to the base game then they deserve to be included. In any case, I’ve decided that my picks for PC games releasing in 2019 would be just that: games. No expansions or DLC whatsoever. Next year will have a lot of big games in store already that have a lot of people chomping at the bit. You know the ones I’m talking about. However, I’m not really that excited this time around.
