Sony has today announced that it’s next State of Play livestream will take place next week on Thursday June, 2 and will provide nearly 30 minutes of announcements and updates of upcoming PlayStation titles. The news comes via PlayStation Blog, which details that the livestream will include reveals from Sony’s third-party partners, and will also showcase ‘several games in development for PlayStation VR2,’ the upcoming virtual reality headset that’ll work as a peripheral for the PS5 and is set to release sometime this year....
Sony has revealed the official name of its next-generation VR hardware for PlayStation 5 as the much less cumbersome PlayStation VR2, along with the hardware’s official specifications. PlayStation VR2 will feature an OLED display with a resolution of 2000 x 2040 per eye. Each screen will sport a refresh rate of 90Hz/120Hz with a FOV of 110 degrees. It’ll feature adjustable lens separation and a six-axis motion sensing system, along with an IR Proximity sensor....

Sony’s Powers TV series, which was announced back at E3, has been confirmed for release in the PAL region later this year. The series premieres on the US PlayStation Store on March 10 with the first three episodes, followed every Tuesday with a new episode. The series will be free to PS Plus members. The massively popular PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds may have hit something of a stumbling block on its route to world domination, as Bloomberg reports that the game has been decreed ‘too bloody and violent’ for sale in the country of China.
