Despite being one of the more later companions, Futaba is a favorite character of many Persona fans. After all, she is a gamer, so a lot of us just relate to her. She is also in the care of Sojiro, so that makes her feel like family. Besides all that, she is one of the most useful members of your team due to her hacking skills. Being a romance option also makes her pretty popular.

With all that in mind, of course, there is a lot of fan art of this awesome character. Here are ten pieces we loved. Please check out the links to the artists as well.

10 Over The Shoulder

This art was made by Manga Seyren. Her other works of fan art include fandoms such as Pocket Mirror, Nier: Automata, and Pokémon. She mentioned with this piece that Futaba is one of her favorite characters in Persona 5’s main cast, right under Makoto.

The colors for this art really pop from Futaba’s hair to her jacket and her eyes.

9 Cute Style

Made by ebasaur, this art style is adorable and soft looking. We especially love Mona in this piece, as he looks like a frustrated stuffed animal. Futaba is especially cute with her giant rosy cheeks, glasses, and the fluff of her jacket looking like cream clouds.

We love this artists’ sweet style and they have done a lot of different original characters as well as characters from Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Ib, and Yume Nikki.

8 With Her Her Persona

Unfortunately, we could not find the artist for this piece. It is on a lot of wallpaper-centered websites though. We liked it because it showed Futaba with her persona, Necronomicon. According to our research, her persona is actually based off of a magical grimoire from H.P. Lovecraft’s short stories. Most would imagine it as a book, but Persona 5 got creative and decided to make it like a UFO instead.

7 On Her Computer

The artist yagaminoue did an amazing job with the detail in this fan art. They did say though that is was difficult to keep thinking of different things to put in the room. Futaba did live a little messy since she rarely left her room, and the artist did great work at depicting that lifestyle down to empty boxes, bottles, and the dark lighting with the highlights from the computer screens.

They have done lots of other Persona 5 fan art that is worth checking out.

6  Futaba As An Inkling

We love crossover fan art, so we had to feature this picture of Futaba as an Inkling from the Splatoon franchise. Splatoon and Persona have little in common, but it is easy to imagine it being one of Futaba’s favorite video games since it is a cute and competitive shooter game.

The art was made by emptyhouseart. Besides Persona, they have also done fan art for Splatoon, Mario, and Panty and Stocking. While the artist likes Splatoon, they actually were inspired to make this cross over while playing Smash Ultimate as an Inkling.

5 All Out Attack

The upcoming Persona 5 Royal game actually gave Futaba an All Out Attack animation, but before that, a lot of artists made their own versions. This version was made by Psi-Stardust. They have also made fan art for Steven Universe, Pokémon, Overwatch, and Splatoon.

The All Out Attack that Futaba gets in Persona 5 Royal is a little different from this artists’ depiction. She actually uses a big bomb and it accidentally explodes her. A little goofy, but a lot of the All Out Attacks are like that. It is cool that she finally gets one since the base game has her more as a support role on the sidelines.

4 With Joker

This art is by Skyde-Kei and it is not shipping Futaba and Joker, but seeing them more like siblings. Futaba and Joker would spend more time together since they both technically live under Sojiro’s roof. She is a romanceable character, but a lot of players refrain because they see her as more of a sibling than a romantic partner. No matter what you choose, Joker does help her get out of her shell.

Besides Persona, the artist has also done fan art for Final Fantasy, Nier: Automata, and Monster Hunter.

3 At Desk

The artist of this piece, artkuzu, has a pretty amazing gallery of fan art. They’ve done pieces on Overwatch, Violet Evergarden, Black Desert Online, Mario, Nier: Automata, Final Fantasy, and also a lot of original characters as well. They also called Futaba, “Waifutaba,” on the art page which is pretty funny.

There are a lot of nice details. On her computer is the logo for the Phantom Thieves. There is a Mona bobble-head on her desk, and she has multiple screens and keyboards like in the game.

2 Close Up

Made by ielleja, this art proves that you don’t have to get incredibly detail-oriented to make a good piece. The simplicity of this Futaba works. There is focus on her coat fluff, her hair, headphones, and part of her face. There is a lot of character and personality in its angle. Futaba is a very shy character who has undergone a lot of trauma, and this captures that part of her.

According to the artist, Futaba is her “waifu.” There might be a little competition between the fans in that regard.

1 A Different Style

This Futaba was made by Little Blue Muffin, who took a break in making chibi characters to make this stunning piece. She used PaintToolSAI and made this as part of an art trade with another artist.

While she is not chibi, the soft and cute style that the artist uses in all her other pieces has definitely oozed into this one and we love it. Definitely check out the artists’ gallery, as it is full of adorable chibi girl characters.
