Ichiko Ohya is the holder of the Devil Arcana and a Confidant in Persona 5 Royal. She is a paparazzi journalist infamous for click-baiting and twisting the truth for attention. She is first introduced on 04/11, seen discussing the psychotic breakdowns with a local police officer. You can begin her Confidant on 06/23 after visiting her at the Crossroads Bar. She is available every evening and can be found in the Crossroads Bar in Shinjuku.
As with most confidants, there isn’t a limit on when you can rank Ohya up. As long as you achieve Rank 10 before reaching an ending you can complete the Devil Confidant. Also, at Rank 9 you have the option to romance Ohya, which changes the dialogue options for the following rank. As an additional motive to rank up Ohya, you’ll earn +3 Charm for most of her ranks.
Persona 5 Royal: Ichiko Ohya Confidant skills
Below are the skills and benefits acquired from ranking up the Devil Confidant. Ohya is probably the weakest overall social link in Persona 5 Royal. Unfortunately, her skills just aren’t useful in most situations. Even so, for a completionist playthrough, you will need to max out the Devil Confidant.
- Rank 1 – Rumor-filled Scoop: Security level decreases when a new Safe Room is discovered.
- Rank 3 – Shocking Scoop: Security level is less likely to rise and will decrease after a successful ambush.
- Rank 5 – Unbelievable Scoop: Security level at the start of infiltration is lowered.
- Rank 7 – Outrageous Scoop: Security level at the start of infiltration is lowered further.
- Rank 10 – Legendary Scoop: Allows ambushing of enemies regardless of security level.
