Xbox executive Phil Harrison is leaving Microsoft, according to a report from GamesIndustry.biz.
The site claims to have been told that the corporate VP is exiting the company after growing “frustrated” at being denied the opportunity to move “up the corporate ladder” following Phil Spencer’s promotion to head of Xbox.
Spencer declined to comment when questioned by Eurogamer about Harrison’s alleged departure.
Harrison joined Microsoft as VP of its Interactive Entertainment Business in March 2012, having previously served as president of Worldwide Studios at Sony and president of Atari.
VideoGamer.com has contacted a Microsoft representative for further comment.
