Phil Spencer Likes What He S Seen Of Gears 5

Xbox overlord Phil Spencer recently caught a cheeky glimpse of Gears 5 in action while paying a visit to The Coalition’s Vancouver-based HQ.

In short? Big Phil thought it was looking mighty impressive. Well, he’s hardly going to say it looks naff, is he? Still, with Gears 5 one of the biggest games out this year on Xbox One (and in general, for that matter), it’s good to hear things are shaping up well.

Gears 5 is notable for being the first entry in the muscle-bound franchise to introduce a playable female character, with players controlling Kait Diaz instead of Marcus Fenix. 

There’s also a Gears of War movie in action, and Dave Bautista is really keen to play Marcus. To be fair, I hope he gets his wish.
