A recent update to GTA 5 which added the Cryptozoologist Achievement/trophy has led fans to discover a super secret Easter Egg which transforms players into Bigfoot.
The new achievement states the following when unlocked: “You unlocked all animals for use in Director Mode… or did you?”
This indicated another animal was hiding in the game world, with reddit user rkRusty data-mining the PC game to look for answers. Coordinates were found for every peyote plant in the game – each makes the player hallucinate they are an animal. Mentions of the weather conditions and time of day affecting peyote were also spotted.
This latest discovery and a lot of trial and error from rkRusty resulted in a set of instructions being formulated for unlocking the final peyote and as such Bigfoot.
First off you’ll need to have completed GTA 5, found every peyote location bar the final hidden one, and completed “The Last One” mission without killing Sasquatch. Now you need to play the game on a Tuesday between 5.30am and 8.30am when the weather is foggy on PC or snowing on PS4/Xbox One. Head to the coordinate -1472.531, 4439.456, 18.862 and you’ll find the Bigfoot peyote plant.
When transformed into a Sasquatch you can drive cars and wield guns.
