PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is at it again. On Saturday it managed to set the record for the most ever concurrent players on Steam. PUBG’s peak of over 1.34 million players means it’s unseated Dota 2, which previously held the top spot with 1.29 million.
You can see the chart, as it was on Saturday, tweeted by the game’s creator, Brendan Greene, below.
PUBG maintained huge numbers right through the weekend, with a peak over 1.3 million even today.
Highest peak player count on @steam_games! A sincere thank you to all our players & the amazing @PUBATTLEGROUNDS team I get to work with! GG pic.twitter.com/z8V2rdmQmm

The battle royale survival game has been hitting milestones of millions sold for a while now, and it’s still not out of early access. A full release is planned to come by the end of the year, followed by a release on Xbox One. That’s probably the one we’ll get, and everyone will already be amazing at the game when we do.
