An Akala Adventure is a special research quest released as part of the Season of Alola in Pokémon Go.
If you complete this quest, along with A Melemele Adventure and two other quests themed around the Alola region, before Wednesday, 1st June, you’ll be granted free access to an end-of-season event.

Below you’ll find the An Akala Adventure special research quest steps and rewards in Pokémon Go.
While this is a special research quest you can complete at your own pace, we recommend completing it before Wednesday, 1st June. If you do so, as well as completing the other three Alola region-themed research quests, you’ll gain free access to the end-of-season event.

- Catch 10 Pokémon - 10 Poké Balls
- Complete 3 Field Research tasks - Pikachu encounter
- Catch 7 different species of Pokémon - 5 Pinap Berries
Rewards: 500 XP, 500 Stardust and Fomantis encounter

- Use 4 Berries to help catch Pokémon - Parasect encounter
- Catch 2 Water-type Pokémon - Alomomola encounter
- Take 3 snapshots of Fire-type Pokémon - Alolan Marowak encounter
Rewards: 500 XP, 500 Stardust and 1 Charged TM

- Power up Pokémon 5 times - 7 Razz Berries
- Walk 2km - 10 Poké Balls
- Take 3 snapshots of wild Pokémon - 10 Nanab Berries

- Send 5 Gifts to friends - 10 Great Balls

The Season of Mythical Wishes has seen Kecleon finally being released in Pokémon Go!
The Crackling Voltage event is currently running and it has brought as a new Team Go Rocket quest - Shadowy Skirmishes! The team lineups for Giovanni and the Team Go Rocket Leaders has also changed.
Don’t forget to partake in the new Go Battle League season.
Elsewhere, be sure to use Daily Adventure Incense for the chance of encountering Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos and Galarian Moltres. This incense may also give you encounters with other rare Pokémon in Pokémon Go.
How An Akala Adventure works in Pokémon Go
An Akala Adventure was released as part of the Lush Jungle event in Pokémon Go, but, as long as you play the game before Wednesday 1st June, you’ll unlock this quest.
It’s the second in a set of four special research quests themed around the Alola region, with the first being A Melemele Adventure. The next two quests will focus on Ula’ula Island and Poni Island. If you complete all four special research quests before Wednesday, 1st June, you’ll gain free access to an end-of-season event for the Season of Alola.
An Akala Adventure doesn’t, however, have a deadline, so feel free to complete it at your own pace - just keep the Wednesday, 1st June deadline in mind.
An Akala Adventure consists of four quest steps and, like every Pokémon Go research quest, you must complete three challenges for each step, collecting the rewards as you progress.
