February might be the shortest month of the year, but it is one jam-packed full of events in Pokémon GO. So many that there’s one that players might have overlooked: a weekend celebrating everything about Pokémon’s Sinnoh region. If you are reading this before 10 pm on February 10, 2020, then you’re not too late to be a part of it.

There is a glut of benefits for trainers playing Pokémon GO between now and the end of the Sinnoh Celebration event from shiny debuts to easier to attain Sinnoh stones. Whether you haven’t taken advantage of the event at all or feel like you might be missing a few of its benefits, everything below is a must-read for all trainers.

Sinnoh Starters A-Plenty

First thing’s first, the Sinnoh-based Pokémon that are appearing more often during the event. All three of the region’s starters, Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup, as well as their shiny versions, should be spawning more often. They are joined by Starly, Kricketot, Cranidos, Shieldon, Buneary, Bronzor, and Gible, including shiny versions of those last three. Considering the controversy surrounding the arrival of shiny Gible, that last one should be seen as a big opportunity.
