A new month is here, which means Pokemon GO players have a ton of activities to stay busy. In addition to tracking down all the new research tasks, February brings a handful of exciting in-game events and yet another chance to battle Giovanni and free a Legendary Shadow Pokemon.
Just like last month, Pokemon GO players who have completed all of their Team GO Rocket Special Research are going to be able to access another chain of: A Professor’s Work Is Never Done. This monthly repeatable chain allows players to prove their worth against Team GO Rocket and eventually face off against the big boss for a powerful reward.
Players should keep in mind that if they are not caught up on their other Team GO Rocket Research storylines, then this repeatable series will not be available in their list of available content. The rewards are definitely worth the work, so trainers should try to get caught up and back on track before they miss out on this powerful Legendary.
Raikou is one of the most relevant Pokemon to the PvE metagame, so having another powerful, high IV copy in your collection is never going to be a bad thing. The challenges shouldn’t be very different from last month’s, so prepare for some Grunt battles and start working your way through.
Save Shadow Raikou from Giovanni!
If you’ve completed your most recent set of Team GO Rocket Special Research, then you’ll have access to February’s Team GO Rocket Special Research, A Professor’s Work Is Never Done. This time, you’ll be tasked to defeat Team GO Rocket, its leaders, and Giovanni once more for a chance to rescue the Legendary Shadow Pokémon Raikou! Be sure to finish this Special Research by the end of February before Shadow Raikou leaves.
Team GO Rocket never rests, Trainers, and neither can we! Be on the lookout for new Team GO Rocket Special Research from Professor Willow every month.
For now, players may want to keep hunting down the best Unova Pokemon in the game if improving their Battle Raid rosters is their primary goal. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
Pokemon GO is available now in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
