Pokemon GO players had another busy weekend with the surprise appearance of Team GO Rocket (on top of the Legendary Raids). The bad guy-themed surprise event offered some very exciting special features and spawns for players who were willing to face off against enemy grunts and bosses over the weekend.
This Team GO Rocket Pokemon GO Global Takeover put a special focus on Poison- and Dark-type Pokemon, but those weren’t the only exciting creatures that could be caught during the spawn of the event. Players who took the time to head out and put in the work were able to rack up some pretty exciting catches and a whole lot of bonus Stardust.
The event ran from March 6 through March 9, so there should’ve been plenty of time to take advantage of all the bonuses and special spawns available.
Bonuses And Special Spawns
Poison- and Dark-type Pokémon will be appearing more often in the wild, as well as other Pokemon that are related to Team GO Rocket. During this weekend, Absol is one of the Pokemon that will be appearing in the wild! … That’s not all, as shiny Skorupi will be making its Pokémon debut!

You’ll be able to rescue all six of the Shadow Pokémon that Trainers have seen left behind by the Team GO Rocket Leaders.
You’ll be able to use a Charged TM to change a Shadow Pokémon’s exclusive attack, Frustration, to other Charged Attacks that that Pokémon can learn normally. Please note that if you purify the Shadow Pokémon afterward, it will still learn Return, replacing the attack learned via the Charged TM.
For now, players may want to keep hunting down the best Unova Pokemon in the game if improving their Battle Raid rosters is their primary goal. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
