A new character will be added to the mobile title Pokemon Masters very soon, and he’ll be a new five-star sync pairs for players to grab. One of the main characters of Pokemon Black and White, Hubert, will be joining the game along with his buddy Pokemon Oshawatt.

Since its release about a month ago, Pokemon Masters has received a steady stream of content, mostly in the form of new Sync Pairs while players work through the main story. Hubert and Oshawatt are a Water-type Sync Pair, and they’ll have a special banner to focus on them when the pair arrives in the game.

Hubert and Oshawott will be available in Pokemon Masters with his own special limited-time Spotlight Scout banner, which will give players an increased chance of pulling him. Unlike Blue and Pidgeot in Pokemon Masters, it does not seem that Hubert and Oshawatt will have an event tied to them. However, there is also a Water Pokemon Training event going on now in Pokemon Masters, so lucky players who pull Hubert will be able to level the Sync Pair up easily.

While there may already be some strong (and free) Water-based Sync Pairs in Pokemon Masters, Hubert and Oshawott bring something different to the table. This Sync Pair is support based, so they’ll be spending most of the battle buffing up their allies than blasting Bubble over and over. Oshawott has X Speed All as a skill, allowing the bar to move faster and get other Pokemon attacking more often. Oshawott’s other skill, In This Together, raises the attack of all allies, and it’s even more effective when the Pokemon’s health is low. This makes the Sync Pair an effective ally for most battles, whether its playing against teams with a Water weakness or just getting buffs for Oshawott.

Pokemon Masters has made an impressive first showing, with Pokemon Masters being downloaded 10 million times in four days. Players have been enjoying the gacha style game, with its increased focus on actual Trainers and their Pokemon as opposed to just the monsters. Pokemon Masters memes and other stories have been making the rounds on social media, and this looks to be a generally successful endeavor for DeNA and Game Freak.

Who will be the next Sync Pair to be revealed? No one is sure yet, but there are some Pokemon Masters Sync Pairs that fans are patiently waiting on.

Pokemon Masters is available now for free on Android and iOS.
